Default Might I have a faulty battery?

-Smart Actions set to turn off data when display is off
-No data eating apps, everything refreshes very rarely
-Brightness always below 20%
-CDMA only, no 4g

Conducted a test with the above things set, and 10 minutes of web browsing (cnn.com, yahoo.com, digg.com) took out 8% of my life. Does that seem right?

Is it possible that I have a faulty battery? I plan on exchanging it for a new one, but i wanted your guys' opinion first. Anything is appreciated!

Thanks,
Remedemic

It is more likely that you were using loads of data and when browsing you are always going to have huge battery load - why? Sim, the phone is transmitting data all the time and that takes a lot of energy.

How does turning off data when screen off help saving battery while the phone is on?

So you guys all get about the same drain? 10 Minutes of Web Browsing takes out about 8-10% of your battery life? I doubt that.

I do not measure battery use. I use the phone and when battery runs down I charge it.

First test your phone in normal conditions. Phone calls, texting and all that stuff and not browsing only.

Then check what is eating up battery.

Replacing the phone will do nothing if you have 20 social account srunning in the background and you just set them up on the new phone you receive as a replacement.
