Default Maxx screen vs. Resound screen

Just picked up the maxx. Battery is amazing. 14 hours of of moderate use, and am at 60%!!

When I have the screen brightness set for automatic, it is noticeably duller than the rezound set at automatic. is this from different settings, pixel count or something else?

The sound quality and reception are exceptional on the maxx.

The rezound has a 720p hd display and razr maxx doesn't. It has a super amoled advanced display.

14 hours and still have 60% left...awesome, especially considering there is hardly any compromise in size.

Considering that was day one.....very pleased with the battery. I found that if I boost the screen brightness, it looks much better. The default ambient light setting is just too low. Probably saves the battery though!

I compared the two side by side, and the maxx screen's whites are noticeably yellow and the other colors duller. Do other people have that, or do I have a bad unit?

Mine's a bit yellowish, but that's better than the massive blue tint on most Samsung AMOLED screens.

Thanks for responding. Did you have the rezound? I notice when I put them side by side that the white looks tinted yellow, and the reds and blues are muted. I was not sure if mine was defective or not.

I looked at the Rezound and my feeling was that while it had a nice HD screen, the brightness needed to be on maximum for it to really show its stuff. The screen surface was pretty glossy as well. When I held the phone up with daylight hitting it, the screen almost disappeared. The Maxx screen looks great to me, even with Auto brightness and the dimmer on. It is also far more viewable in daylight. Even with Pentile I prefer the Maxx to the Rezound.
