Default black blotches

Has anyone noticed when your phone is dimmed or if your in a dark room blotches appear? Ive replaced my Razr 4 times and every single replacement has this issue! When I have it in the dock you can totally see it. Driving me nuts! I love this phone but hate this issue! I noticed the Razr maxx forum has folks also complaining ....what to do!?

There's a whole thread on this someplace. Seems to be a known issue. I had a pic on my homescreen as a wallpaper and saw some spots I never noticed before, so I thought of the splotches issue and went to my pc, looked up the pic in the file and IT HAD SPLOTCHES! WoW! I thought I had the issue for a minute. so far I have not noticed it at all. I suggest getting used to it and staying out of dark rooms. Maybe use a dark wp. In any case it is well known so stop trading your phone in and just get used to it I suppose.

I know! I'm not trading it in no more...just super frustrating that you pay so much for a phone with this issue.....I'm glad its a known issue and wish Motorola would do something about it. Blah!

Moto claims this to be "normal" and part of the manufacturing process for the screen.

I called Motorola and vented about this issue, they claimed to have never heard of it. They also opened a case and asked me to send pictures, which I did.. haven't heard back! But I"m going to see how far I get with this...may not be worth it, but oh well! I can't stand seeing my screen in the dock at night! Lame black blotches!
