just got my razr today, along with lapdock and car dock. im a big fan of car docks, and what i loved about my evo 3d is the car dock has an insert that you can take out to use with a case. the razr dock has an insert, but im not sure if its for use with a case or possibly for the maxx?

I have the Razr car dock, and I have a case on my Razr. There are many cases out there, and I'm sure some may be too big to fit into the car dock. I bought one that I've seen at most Verizon stores, that is pretty thin, and has the kickstand that unfolds. I took out the insert from the car dock and my phone with case fits into the dock just fine, or maybe a little loose. The phone does fit a little better with just the naked phone and the insert though.

... and it fits the car dock just perfect after the insert is removed. Little getting used to prying it out with your index finger between the power connector when slid up and the phone, but its all good. I've been using these two together since I got the phone when it first came out with absolutely no problems.
