Default Odd Sounds Levels - Bass Out of Whack

Hey guys,

So I just got this phone, and.....holy cow. It's so sick. I thought the battery meter broke after the update, such a powerful battery!

One complaint (amongst a list of praises) is that the sound levels are really off. You know when a song plays sounds that alternate from the left to the right speaker? One of those channels is like completely off

So some songs, the voice is drowned out by the the instruments/bass, and other songs, random sound bytes from the track will come and scare the hell out of me. Suggestions?

Phone is rooted, stock rom (wiped several times trying others), and .181 update. Had the problem from the start

I noticed that too with the Sirius app and my stored music. Poor sound quality. For music on my phone, I use poweramp which has an equalizer and greatly improves sound quality. For streaming music, I went with Slacker. Much better sound quality than Sirius.

yeah, i guess i can get an equalizer app, but i just find it odd, you know? i feel like its a systemic thing, since all the music is affected by it

hope ICS fixes it....

Did you turn off the "audio effects" in the sound settings? It is on by default and makes music sound horrible.

Sorry to drap up such an old topic, but this totally fixed the music issues I was having with my Maxx. I just got it today to replace my Nexus and I was like, what's wrong with the music on this phone? Thanks!!
