Default Disabling Google Movies and Books

Every time I restart my Droid Razr I have to go back and re-disable movies and books. Is this normal? Next thing, if I don't re-disable them, is that I get a notice that I need to update these programs.
I knew we were getting rid of some Verizon crapware, but is it really just being replaced by Google crapware?

Short answer is to disable it for good you need to root and rename it or remove the app completely.

How do you remove these apps completely? I've tried. The only options I have under Manage Apps is Force Stop and Disable.

Unless you are willing to root your phone, there is no PERMANENT way do disable them.
