Default New Symbol in Notification Bar

Can someone tell me what this new symbol popping up in my notification bar is. It's the first one on the left. I assume it's some sort of GPS symbol but it has a wrench looking thing in it. I can't find it's source to save my life.

I was coming here for the same thing. All the sudden it's on my phone without downloading any new apps or changing any settings.

I have found the answer. I use the app Notification Toggle and evidently this is their new Icon. You can change it to be the battery level etc. It was driving me nuts!

Use the app from Play Store ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle&hl=en ... when you find a way to change it ... please let me know.
