it will allow you to type faster. without true multi touch, if your finger is still on the last key you pressed it will not register any new touches. With multi touch it will. It is also what makes pinch to zoom possible.
I'm really looking forward to this. It will make texting and composing emails so much easier. I have the htc incredible now and when I type too fast, it does not register some my key presses. Judging by the video on engadget, the moto x's keyboard doesn't have this issue.

Yes and no, the Evo has multi-touch in regards to pinch and zoom but it DOES NOT have a multi-touch keyboard... There is a difference

Yes, I had the Eris so I know having one doesn't always translate to the other. I was giving a broad definition of multi touch. Multi touch "in general" allows multiple touches on the screen to be registered at that same time. With multi touch in the browser, you get pinch to zoom. With multi touch keyboards, you get faster typing. I guess I should have just put it like that from the beginning huh ?
