I just started to play with the camera, downloaded the Vignette app paid version. Nice app! I hope to get some better shots once I get good with the camera/settings, but here are a few I took the other day.
These are all taken using Vignette with the steady shot settings and 8MP.
This one here though is with the Vignette effect - My dog Leo sleepy
And some yummy grilled peaches with Macro setting:

I can't wrap my brain around how some of you guys pictures come out like it was taken with an SLR and some of you it looks like the motorola razr... i mean c'mon are all these real? I'm trying to really see picture quality and i feel like im being duped. I don't care how much editing you do your not getting SLR quality on a lens smaller than a dime. So can i please see some real droid x pictures? Or the really bad ones are just takin with the wrong settings on?

LOL, and I hope no one takes this the wrong way since ALL these pics are great IMO, but it's not always the equipment. The choice of settings, technique, and the app used all have a part to play. Yes, based on my own pics, I can believe they ARE real. However, while they are good and can rival some point and shoots, they are not SLR quality or even close.
just out of curiosity, those using the panoramic setting...HOW to you get the pics to be seemless?
I tried it the other day outside and my photos "overlapped", no matter what i did!
Also, those taking the outdoor beautiful photos, are you editing the pics before posting? If not, WHAT SETTINGS ARE YOU USING? Did you install an app?
All your pics here are just beautiful (except the bottle of BLOOD WORMS) HA
A new-found pond friend...taken about 20 minutes ago. A little pixelated, but what can you really expect with a phone and taken at night. This was with Vignette, Superfine @ 8MP

I saw this outside Stonybrook Fine Arts Http://www.stonybrookfinearts.comin Jamaica Plain Ma, across from the Sam Adams Brewery.
I have walked past this placeever day for a year, I'm a mailman, and of all of Morris' work, this one, that he just finished, is my favorite, because I have a frisbee living dog too.

also, i have been out this morning TRYING to get a good panoramic shot, but I can't seem to merge the photos well. It looks wop-sided or something. What's the secret!
Thanks for the tips about panoramic pic taking. I, up till now, had never calibrated my compass.
I also, because I haven't seen an instruction manual, didn't know why the lights turned green. I thought it meant it was in focus! ha
When the sun comes up this morning, I'll tromp off to the woods and try again!
For a poor focus issue, you may also want to check to see that your scene setting is not set to macro.
and vise versa, I was trying to take a pic of a sandwich that was a foot away so not really macro and it was in landscape mode and was blurry. Set it back to auto and voila

Just make sure you don't post them here if they're really large. Resize them and make them smaller, or just post the link by itself if they're too big. You will end up stretching the thread page horrendously if you don't resize or post links.
