Yes!

Settings > Language & keyboard Settings > Input Method > Swype.

Swype Settings also right below that.

And to quickly switch back and forth, like within a text, just long press the typing region and then press Input Method and you can change.

Swype is interesting, though to be honest I still type much faster with the multi-touch keyboard. Mostly because many of the words I spell in a txt message are either names, made up, or short-hand. I know I can extend the Swype dictionary or even turn of word prediction, but for right now the keyboard still works well for me without it.

One day though...one day...

I don't know how much I like it. I am SOOO used to the keyboard on the BB Storm, I think the multi-touch is working better for me ATM

I've had the x since day 1 and am just now trying out swype. Seems I would type faster with multi touch though.

I'll say it again, I think Shapewriter actually works better. The word selection window is better and I find it to be more accurate. It takes a couple days to learn some of your words/slang but it works great

Download ShapeWriter APK | Rough Book

Yeah I think swype is trying to pull a Microsoft, get installed by default to increase market share, there are better alternatives.
