Default Wifi tether app to PS3

I need to know how to connect my phone using the wifi tether app. My PS3 doesnt find it when I scan for networks. I am aware that the ps3 cant find ad hoc networks so what are some other steps I can do to get internet from my Droid x to ps3

If you use the built in 3GHotspot app and do the trick where you toggle airplane mode on then off it should work. Might take a few tries to get it down but it works. I was able to do some online gaming this way on PSN.
