I just set up my X with ICS, Gummy, and Apex, and it's like a brand new state of the art phone - so obviously I want to improve it...

In the past 1.5 years I've tried Android's speech control functions - but never found them to work reliably enough to be more than a novelty. That was then, this is now.

Vlingo, Speaktoit, and Google's Own are candidates - there are probably others. I'd really like to use such tools.

What works? Really...

Google Now is the best, but you would need to be on JB to use it. It is better than any 3rd party app at this point.

Like most on this Droid X forum, that's what I use. I'm lucky to have it rooted and on ICS...
So Google Now is out, but what's second best (and compatible with ICS)?

Sorry, I didn't notice this was posted in the DroidX forums. I did also use Speaktoit before Google Now after trying several assistants, I found it to be the best.
