Successful access to Google wireless tether
I finally have Successful access to Google wireless tether.
installed version 2.07 on Droid X.
rooted it with Visionary version r14.
My PC's connection to internet drops after 10 mins. When I reboot my Droid X in "Safe Mode", it drops after 20 or 30 mins -after which I had to reboot into Safe Mode. Finally figured it out -use Droid X's Settings->Running Services to slam down/stop all services except:
Extdispserv
Networklocationser
Multitouch
Works great now.
(After an hour, Droid X automatically added the following services, but DID NOT interrupt my connection with "NO ACCESS":
callername Extdispserv socialwidget blurmessage Feedreceiver Weatherservice Weatherwideget Newswidget statuswidget Quickcontactserv newswidget Messagewidget. So the above services do not negatively impact my tether )
