For some weird reason, my Droid X2 isn't letting me enter text into input boxes, such as facebook, email, sms, address bar in browsers, or anything.

It happens randomly, and has only started happening recently. I have to reboot my phone to fix the issue, but it soon returns.

What happens is i go to type a message, the keyboard shows up, and i start typing, but nothing is being entered into the input box. But it is showing weird spell check options as i type.

I have no idea whats causing this, so i don't know how to permanently resolve it.

Does anyone have an ideas?

Are you on a custom ROM or on stock? Are you using the stock keyboard or a third party keyboard?
