Default Google Navigation

When you launch google navigation it brings you to this screen. Is there a shortcut to launch the GPS mode only like when you pick the map icon in the upper right corner of this screen?

not that i am aware of. Depending on what ROM you are using you may be able to put a GPS shortcut in your pull-down notification bar. I know that can be customized on the CyanogenMod ROMs. Can't remember off the top of my head if that can be done on Eclipse.
