My Custom Boot Animations (Mostly Video game related)
I am going to post some custom boot animations here. I will update the thread as i make them. It might not be chock full of updates every day, but i do plan on making a lot of video game related bootscreens, and anything else i think is awesome.
Just rename to 'bootanimation.zip'
Vincent (this looks kind of funky, i had to manually take the black borders off EVERY frame) The image isnt all jumbly like in this preview, but it is jumpy in a couple frames. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V7KC443I
Because your first line in the desc.txt needs to say this "480 854 20"
But it will stretch the DROID image also. You need your files to be uniform in size. Since your Sonic image is narrow it also will stretch that out. To keep the proportions right if you want it to be full screen you need to keep the 16:9 aspect ratio. So if you want to keep the 640 it would have to be 360x640 and your part0 would also need to be 16:9 ratio .

any way to get gifs or screen shots?! I know its not a ton of trouble to download and try out but screens and gifs help w/ exposure and may be a deal breaker on whether or not people actually try them out...
thx either way for your work, lord knows i am not talented or patient enough to do something like this myself.

Sure, ill do it when I get home from work. Ill upload them to imageshack.
Put the file in /data/local and rename it to bootanimation.zip

Odd newby question here. I open my SD card and go to the Data folder. There was no "local" folder, so I created one, then dropped the zip in there named bootanimation.zip
Although it didn't work? Am I missing something? *Obviously I am*
If you can provide a specific, short video clip, I can make it into one. Animated gifs will work too.
I don't know anything about creating boot animations so I don't know graphically intense they should be. But I found this Modern Warfare 2 trailer called "Infamy". The whole trailer is awesome! I was thinking anything after the 1:10 mark because its in slow mo and isn't random quick cut scenes, but anything from this trailer would be sick!
Again, there may be too much goin on here to make a boot animation with, but if its possible it would be really impressive.
