It is a great device. i just don't like Sense so i would have to put a custom rom on it if available. other than not having a physical keyboard it is a stellar device.

Personally I love the Sense. My Incredible is the coolest, fastest phone I have ever had!! I finally found a phone I'm happy with and have no plans to change it.

If you decide to get it, you'll love it!

Good luck wit your choice.

Pros and cons of the Incredible from my limited use and knowledge of the device.

Pros:
- Speed. Stock is just about as fast as an OC'ed Droid and will only get faster with 2.2.
- Sense UI. I don't personally like it, but most consider it to be a positive, so I'm sticking it in the Pros.
- Form Factor. It's slim and comfortable in the hand and the pocket.

Cons:
- Screen. Yes, the screen. It's been hyped up, but I can't stand it. The colors are not natural and the Droid screen looks far superior and is easier to read.
- Battery life. Not from first hand experience, but my friend that owns one has complained about battery life, which has almost never been a problem for me with the Droid.
- No physical keyboard. Self-explanatory.
- Bluetooth issues. I didn't know about this until I tried to sync my new car stereo with my friend's Inc the other day. Works fine with every other phone, but the Incredible can't even find it. I posted this in the Incredible forum and found that it has well documented Bluetooth problems.

The great thing with Verizon is that you can try it and then buy it.

Well, if you aren't paying for it, get the DInc. It will go beyond 2.2 and beyond. The Droid...well, it's still up in the air after 2.2.

If you can get your hands on a Droid X, go for that. I think it will last you a lot longer in the long run.

You can still use beautiful widgets, you can even get it to do the weather animation after unlocking your screen if you want it to.

first off welcome aboard. now you need to come over here-
HTC Incredible - Android Forums
then you need to download this for your Dinc.
http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks-incredible/125073-replace-htc-lockscreen-incredible-find.html

its about the best thing Iv'e downloaded for my phone. you can then install apps on your lock screen. also read the battery threads and pick up the HTC 1500 from ebay for 15.00. with it i get 16+ hours from my Dinc with normal usage.
