Shopsavvy - Same issues as original post

Home Defense - Can't seem to pull it up in market, regardless of how I try. (not necessarily phone related)

DxTop and aHome battery Meter - Neither of these gave me errors, but I can't seem to access them now that they are installed. They just plain don't show up anywhere except in market.

Locale will initiate fine, but it won't turn my ringer back on after the set amount of time... I have to do it manually every time. Tried reinstalling. Same result.

I could be wrong but are the apps you mention 2.0 compatible ?

That is more than likely the reason, not the phone it self.

Beautiful widgets works but it doesn't seem to render quite right. Some of the lines and text don't seem to line up correctly.

Yeah, same note that I put in my post.

That actually bugs me... I can't think of another app more important to me than that one, and it just disappeared? They have the option of a manual download on their page, I think... but I couldn't get to the download either. Page not found.

I was going to email them tonight (if I can find an email), but I got sidetracked with all of these posts. lol. You can tell a new phone launched today. In the 3 hours it takes me to finish my courier route... 4 days ago - 33 posts. 3 days ago - 52 posts. 2 days - 127 posts. Last night - 353. Tonight - 1,376.

Look up an app called weather widget - donate. Its another Hero style flip clock with time, date and weather.

Edit: I recommend Beautiful Widgets as it looks better, but this ones good too.

Edit 2: Might want to give Market, and app makers some time to catch up to 2.0 before trying to adjust your home screens with open home. aHome. and the like.

ShopSavvy was the first App I ever downloaded for the Droid. It works but it can sometimes take a while to focus on the barcode if you have a shaky hand

A game that does not render graphics properly is Neocore. I hear it's a game with amazing graphics

Layar (the augmented reality app) doesn't work, but the author said to expect it to work in a few weeks.

I'm not an Android expert, so hopefully someone can calm my fears...but this seems like a major annoyance, if you can't expect backwards compatibility and you're going to have to wait for a lot of apps to catch up everytime the OS is updated. Are there any measures being taken in the 2.0 firmware to ensure more compatibility from 2.0 forward? Like once everyone has brought their apps up to date with 2.0 they'll be more future-proof?

What you're asking for isnt really backwards compatability but rather forward compatibility which likely wont happen as the app devs cant really predict what will and wont work in the future. Most off the good apps all have great support and they usually get things worked out rather quickly.

Try using AF in the camera app, yup works just fine.

I'll bet it's because it's not 2.0 Compatible. I just sent shopsavvy an email asking about compatibility.

Not showing for me either. Maybe it was pulled because of a bug. I know Key Ring was.

Barcode Scanner and ShopSavvy work perfectly for me. Not sure what the issue is with you guys. Bad camera maybe?

One thing I DID notice, is the barcode must be well lit from above.

Panda Home scrambles my screen and even when it is 'in the trash' it resets when I don't want it too - I need to get it OFF my Droid entirely. How do I do that? Never mind....figured that out now.

Neocore. It's an OpenGL demo. Everything appears to work fine, but there are no textures or menu graphics. Everything is just wireframe/checkerboard.

Barcode Scanner works for me, no problems at all.

The Bluetooth On/Off apps don't work for me though, it just sits there and will not toggle.

SNesoid (SNES emulator) works great. I just downloaded 800 games to my sd card (1.5 gb). I set it to fit screen, beautiful. The emulator cost $2.99, but well worth it.

There's probably a better way but this is how I know how to do it.

Go to Market, open the menu and select Downloads. There it will list your installed application, just select the one you want and you'll see a button to uninstall at the bottom of the screen.

EDIT: Doh! I knew there had to be a less confusing way to do it.

Default Bluetooth off/on app

I've uninstalled the bluetooth off/on app as it wasn't working right (it wouldn't turn the bluetooth off or on with the shortcut on the main screen. However, now that I've uninstalled it, it left the settings menu option in there.

Any clue on how to get it out? Because at the moment I have two listings now for bluetooth off/on in two different spots in the settings menu.

Hi Redflea ...Yes i just reinstalled BarScanner and IT is working ..will be updating my post ... asfor beautiful widgets ... i will be installing that next to see if it works ... Im updating list as people start posting ..unless its been updated to 2.0 im removing them ...

NOTE to others... Before I update further the list ...i need to have more than 1 or 2 people reporting a problem ... I am looking at the market at these apps to see if they have been updated to 2.0 compatibility and removing from my list ...

Thanks for your patience and please keep testing those apps and posting here your findings ... thanks

I have installed barcode scanner and it works fine. I have also installed Open Home with no issues.
