Hmm, I'm going to have to try Wifi On/Off again because it didn't work for me, same with Bluetooth On/Off but I'd really like to have both working.
EDIT: Ok, I'm an idiot - I didn't know how to add widgets before this. Wifi On/Off works perfectly for me now. Bluetooth On/Off doesn't work though, it just sits there always off.

For those that don't know, Locale is an app that can automatically change your phone settings based on your GPS location, time of day, etc.
At first, I couldn't get it to find my GPS location. I ran google maps to see if it could find my location, and it did, effortlessly. I immediately went back to Locale and this time it found my location just fine.

The Power Control widget that comes with the phone allows turn on/off of wifi, GPS, bluetooth and synch, without having to download any extras, and seems to do the job nicely... It also lets you adjust the brightness.

Here is a list of Apps that have worked for me as of today:
Bubble - A handy level app
ASTRO File Manager - Solid app that lets you manage the files on your SD card
TasKiller free - Great app for seeing what is currently running and it lets you kill all the running apps with one press on its widget.
ESPN News Widget - Great!
NBA Game Time Lite - Great app to get up to date NBA scores
FartDroid - Why not?
WeatherBug - Works great. Puts the temperature on the top left side of your notification bar.
Pandora and Slacker Radio - Both work great
Games
Doom for Android - Tough to control looks sweet
aiMinesweeper - Great minesweeper game
Baseball Superstars 2009 - Awesome baseball game
NESoid Lite - NES Emulator, I now have 400+ Original Nintendo Games that work well. Though the controls with the DPad and A+B buttons take getting used to.

I have the free versions of the nes, snes, and genesis. If no rom is opened, and you close the program, they all trigger a force close.
Droid48 HP48 emulator - could use update for 854x480, but very much usable (scaled)
Gensoid/SNESoid - work great
Connectbot - perfect
AK Notepad

ES File Explorer, ASTRO
Shazam
Android Terminal Emulator by Jack Palevich (only free terminal emulator I've seen work with Droid yet)
As it's NFL Sunday, SportsTap has quickly vaulted to the top of the list.
lastpass is also a fav of mine from the PC, but the integration on the Droid is not quite as good as far as I can tell.
Useful apps:
Astro file explorer
Google Listen- my love for NPR might be reignited
Google Sky Map- can't wait to play with this one under the stars
Locale- yet to fully understand it, I need to keep playing
Places- pretty b.a!
Shazam
Sportstap
Twidroid
Weatherbug
Ultranotes
OpenSudoku
Silly ones I will uninstall after I get over them:
Labyrinth
Big Lebowski soundboard
Color flashlight
I didn't even know this existed! NPR queued up right now! Thank you!
No prob! I love this community. I am learning a lot and sharing all of this will definitely improve the device/apps/our usage of it!
Now are there any apps that are people looking for? I believe I have exhausted all of my wants, app-wise, now. No doubt tomorrow I will think of something. Ooh, wait. Maybe a Mint app? To keep track of my banking stuff? But then I would definitely need to get the app that allows you to remotely find it and turn it off/protect it.
aCar - Let's you track Mileage & Fuel/Repair expenses, nice charts
aDyno - Dynomometer/Accelerometer/G-Meter - decently accurate
DinoDyno! - Simliar... yet to test
Anywhere - Displays GPS Coordinates, Speed, Elevation, Heading - Really simple
Astro - Awesome File Management
Last.FM - Works great
Color Flashlight - Works, but is GHEY, wish there was an APP to use the Insanely bright FLASH
Lightning - Lightning distance calculator
Mileage - Lets you track vehicle mileage
Ringdroid - Lets you chop MP3's to use as ringtones
Photostitch Free - Stitches Photos together to create panoramic ones
Rings Extended - Replaces Android for choosing how to select ringtones (Lets you set MP3 as ringtone).
Wardrive - Scans WIFI points, and lets you log them, export to KML, and upload to database!! Awesome tool.
TasKiller - Lets you kill those stupid apps that stay running....
DG Quickcut - allows you to make shortcuts on the homescreen that you can rename. Allows you to make keyboard shortcuts....ie....I can hit search and "D" and I have it set to automatically start a text message to my roomate Dave. Can also make dropcuts. You can have a shortcut to a program that stays in your notification menu...very nice if you need quick access to something frequently.
Pkt Auctions Ebay - decent mobile Ebay app
Craigsphone - decent craigslist app
Power Manager - let's you set profiles based on certain conditions (battery level, on AC power, etc) or you can manually switch

I gotta get movin and download a few of these. Thatnks for the list
Three Days with this phone here is my top app's I have
Advanced Task Manager - This app is a great task killer and task manager all in one. I choose this over Advanced Task Killer because of its smaller font, more detailed memory usage, and ability to see/kill all the system processes. They are both great apps though.
BatteryLife - Love this widget even if it does take up two spots. Has a cool looking battery icon along with the temp of the battery, voltage, type, and status.
Locale - You can do a lot with this app. You can set conditions based off of your battery status, calender events, contacts, location (based off GPS, WiFi, or Towers), or time......and then create a specific setting based off those such as ,Turn on/off Ringer, Turn on/off WiFi, Change Wallpaper, display notification. So much you can do. I have it turn off my ringer whenever I am at work.
SportsTap - Great app if you like keeping track of your favorite sports and teams.
cab4me - Find yourself needing a cab with no numbers or idea where to call? Based off your location it will find a series of cab companies in your area.
Barcode Scanner - There is a few of these types of programs out there. This one works great for me. Scan a barcode, do a google product or web search on it and find prices online as well as info/picture of the item.
For Gamers - Nesoid (NES Emulator), SNesoid (SNES Emulator) and Gensoid (Sega Emaultor). D-Pad / Keyboard takes some getting used to but can't complain with being able to play any old gaming system game ever on my phone. But if anyone knows of a solid Micro USB Game Controller that works please let me know.
i tried to find beautiful widgets in the market but was unable to do so. is that the actual name of it? Am I jst an idiot and cant see it right in front of me?

Missed Reminder (Repeating reminders for missed calls and SMS/MMS)
Hey Guys, just got my droid earlier today! Couldn't be happier than a lil kid on Christmas morning. Jacqueline is there anyway you can edit your first post and put all the working apps on there?
Hmm, I'm going to have to try Wifi On/Off again because it didn't work for me, same with Bluetooth On/Off but I'd really like to have both working.
EDIT: Ok, I'm an idiot - I didn't know how to add widgets before this. Wifi On/Off works perfectly for me now. Bluetooth On/Off doesn't work though, it just sits there always off.
Bluetooth on/off fails for me too. I added the bluetooth settings button to the homepage though; a click or 2 extra, but easy enough.
NESoid Lite - NES Emulator, I now have 400+ Original Nintendo Games that work well. Though the controls with the DPad and A+B buttons take getting used to.
SNESoid Lite - Same thing but SNES emulator. Works pretty well.
Added List to first post. Please try to post Apps and games that are not on the list.
Thank you very much!
I have been going through the list adding applications and testing things out. So far everything has worked a treat! I love the 7 screens with Openhome. The more I use the phone to customize it, the more I appreciate just what we have with the fantastic open source OS.
