Default google search widget

How do I get the help tips from popping up on top of the google search widget? it's getting annoying having to close it out all the time.

Why use the search widget at all? From any home screen, you can access text search by pressing the search key once or voice search by pressing and holding it. As long as Android phones have a dedicated search key, the only thing that the search widget adds is a reduction in available home screen space.

I surrender. The logic of your argument for sacrificing home screen space for absolutely no reason is overwhelming, and I have no response.
