Seems that it takes a little while for the Market to see the update.

There seems to be something strange going on with mine then, let me see if I can figure out what is causing it.

I just released another update. I received a bug report that the button text would change incorrectly when moving from portrait to landscape, or from landscape to portrait. that should be fixed now.

A lot of users from Europe (especially Germany, Austria and Switzerland - German speaking countries) can't find your application in the Android Market. Do you know what the reason could be and how to rectify it? We'd love to use your application and send some donations your way if it works well.

Thanks in advance for your reply!

I am not limiting it to a specific market.

Are you guys using the DROID or other 2.0 phone? I know that it's only available for Android 2.0.

Yes, it's the Droid - known as Motorola Milestone around here.

Thank you very much. Here are two (German) threads about it. I'm guessing you won't understand it, but it's not just me:

Warum findet man manche Anwendungen im Market nicht? (Obwohl andere sie finden) - Android-Hilfe.de
Milestone als Taschenlampe nutzen - Motorola Milestone - Android Forum

Is the application limited to the Motorola Droid in the Market? Is that even possible? Maybe that's the problem. But some users from the area seem to be able to find it regardless...very weird.

I'm no morse code expert, but I thought the same thing with the sos. The pause between the O and S seems long compared to the time between the S and O.

Probably that's the reason then. A lot of Europeans don't like to buy their phones from service providers but just buy them at Amazon or other stores...
Too bad.
I hope that policy gets changed...

Thanks anyway.

I think I know what it is. I tell the thread to "sleep" for 300 milliseconds between each letter. Now that 300 milliseconds is simply a "request". Java doesn't always respect that request, so it could be longer.

I looked at the code, and both use the same code after flashing their last dash/dot. So it should be the same.

I just got an update notification so updated...when I turn it on now the icon/widget disappears? I can click it off by pressing the now empty spot and it turns the flashlight off and the icon/widget comes back.

Yes, of course. It`s very strange that you can`t buy/load copy protected Apps on an "open" market with an unlocked/open phone.

Because I bought the Milestone/Droid even while it`s a open OS. I`m very angry about such an limitation.

One thing people don't understand is an open OS has nothing to do with open applications on that OS. The OS is open. It's source code can be viewed and downloaded freely and legally. However, just because the OS is open, doesn't mean the applications are. They are still IPs owned by the developers. Some developers may chose to make their applications open.

I don`t understand why I can`t use any app on an open phone, even the copy protected.

It`s each Developers choice (and right!), if his app is copy protected or not. But why makes it a difference when I bought my phone at Amazon and not at Vodaphone?

I did find this in an article...it's just speculation though....

Quote:
While Google offered only slim details about why it made the change, it could be an attempt to close a loophole that reportedly allows users of the unlocked phone to download paid applications for free. "The Developer version of the G1 is designed to give developers complete flexibility," Google said in a statement. "These phones give developers of handset software full permissions to all aspects of the device... We aren't distributing copy protected applications to these phones in order to minimize unauthorized copy of the applications."
Google blocks paid apps for unlocked G1 users | Business Center | iPhone Central | Macworld

If that is the case, then I can see why Google did it.

What the hell? What does carrier/SIM-lock have to do with copy protection, or anything besides which SIMs I can put in the phone?

I was wondering why I couldn't find a number of apps I knew should be there...

Ah, so they decided to screw over everyone with an unbranded phone just to close up a loophole with the developer phones. Nice.

Default anyone having trouble watching videos after installing this?

First of all - thanks for a great app. But i noticed i started having problems playing videos on my droid after installing this. I'm probably the only one - that's usually the way it works. But just curious if anyone else is having problems.

Un-Installed the FREE version so I could donate.

Great app, thank you so much.

Weird thing though (not sure if it's developer or Market driven), when I un-installed it asked me why. Upgrade to paid version and Other were not listed options.

Just put down Rather Not Say because no other one was right.
