The unlock screen is branded. I like how it looks (that picture posted here is how it really is) I like it better with my walpaper though

umm take another look at your current lock screen. The verizon branding is nothing new.

I do like the look new layout it seems more modern, maybe the curved or straight unlock motion will be an option??

My point in the earlier post was that it appears that the update is rolling out over wifi connections only. Since I don't typically enable wifi, I may not see the update until I do. I suppose VZW doesn't want a large file download on every handset tying up its 3g connection...

And the file is not that large. I think it said it was 10.1 MB or something like that.

Um, my lock screen right now before the update says "Verizon Wireless". That same place says "Extended Network" when I'm in a roaming area. It's not a branding, it just tells you what network you are currently on.

My lock screen has never said anything but the time of day. I have never had Verizon wireless on the screen. I do have 2 co-workers that do though.

Good lookin' out...not that it matters for me as I'm "sans Droid". Still waiting to hear about reception as to decide whether to go back to VZ or pick up the Milestone.

i know it's stupid but i really wish the new lock screen was still centered. the screenshot in this thread really upsets my sense of...something. not symmetry because at least they offset the clock with the vzw text. but i'd still prefer it centered.

Default Thanks to the op for the post

Hey I appreciate the post I am pretty grateful that I may not have to wait till the 11th. By the way I have enough faith in mankind to believe it did happen without the flicks. I find it hard to believe that someone would post something like that for no reason. I think it is also pretty disturbing that here you are taking the time trying to help and Inform fellow forum members and the lack of class or gratitude you received from some members. This forum is feeling less and less of a united journey and more like a drag sometimes. Not blaming the forum administrators or the forum itself just some of the members. Think about the comments you make before you post no need to be insulting or condescending.

I agree. Some of you doubters are really annoying. We're all trying to share our excitement about an update here, so let's stay positive.

Still no update for me in NY. I'll post back when I receive it.

Some people need to shave that extra 2/10's, when opening their phone to look at 1 of the 6000+ pictures stored on their phone...sorry Brucey, nothin' but "tough love".

I cannot believe more people have not posted that they have it yet! I thought this would be faster once it started to roll out.

The fishy part (still) is no one is replying back with their build information that you can easily get by going to settings, about this phone, and version number, etc.

With the image provided it's obvious that the update is starting to be rolled out, but not posting the internal version number and everything is the reason for distrust.

That being said I believe those who said they have it, mostly because I don't care if they do or don't have it.

I think most people are busy playing, and any camera they have is the DROID itself.

Not everyone had signal/reception issues going into the update, and not everyone may be aware that the update is available.

i don't know how to decipher it - but if it matters, what the original poster put down for that string was exactly what i have. so i'm going to say it's *just* the build number if i had to guess, not personally identifiable.
