Let's wait until we start getting reports of phones being updated...
What we know if it does happen:
A Prompt will happen to notify the user that an update is available, but it may not be today, as they may stagger the alert. You can check for system updates in the Status section, but I wouldn't recommend keep checking that until we get reports of people having the update.
I don't we will know what this update fixes until we get a change log from VZW by announcement or leak.
Every time I get an email from this thread I keep thinking it's someone saying "I got the update!"

The visual search app is called "Google Goggles" if anyone was wondering. Seems cool. I also updated my Maps, which has a new "Labs" feature (or maybe the older version did too. I got to enable some cool new layers).
For the Google update, what does labs mean? And someone posted they got their Android OS update but merely said, "seems nice." A tad more info, please? What changed?

Not to get to off topic but I did some tests with my brother in law over the weekend using my wireless network. He has an iphone 3gs. What I noticed was, the Droid consistently beat his phone when it came to loading an entire page (i.e. The Droid finished loading first about 8 out of 10 times). But, the iphone loaded less of the site to begin with before displaying i.e. the iphone would start displaying the page after about 10-15% was loaded and continue to populate the page as it loaded. The Droid seemed to want to load at least 50% of the page before displaying anything. This gave the impression the iphone was faster overall when it was not.
Perhaps they have just tweaked how much of the page needs to be loaded before it starts actually displaying something.

Nice find Jef. I'm still waiting for mine in Cleveland, Ohio
I'm in Ohio too, can't wait for the update. I'm at work though and my phone is in my locker, so I don't know for sure if it's arrived yet or not. I checked at break (1:45), and it's wasn't there yet. Soon I hope.
