Default Droid running 2.0.1 Wifi Speeds Issues

Hey guys and gals, I've got a question for all of you regarding your wifi speeds on the phone.

For some reason, my cube has issues with 3G, so I decided to connect to my works wireless network, expecting it to be as fast or faster than being on my 3G connection.

My wifi connection has full bars, running at 54Mbps and uses WPA/WPA2 PSK for security and my browsing, app downloads and anything requiring an internet connection are ridiculously slow. So much so that I don't even like using it. Anyone else have this problem. I'm surrounded with 3GS owners and they all connect to the wireless and don't have any problems so that should remove the wireless connection itself from the picture.

Anyone else have this issue?
