My brother just destroyed his Droid 1 by backing over it while it was on the ground at the time when he was working on his car. He has insurance but is wary of getting bad Droid 1 replacement after bad replacement, no one has time for that kind of runaround from Asurion. Does anyone know the current replacements Asurion is giving for the Droid 1?

His other option is to drop the Asurion insurance and free up that little bit of cash and go for a used replacement elsewhere. I once saw a post about a site where people posted ads for used phones. The prices were quite reasonable but I can no longer find the post. If anyone has any idea what I'm talking about please post the site.

The answer to this question is always call Asurion. It depends on currently available stock.

If he's not going to use Asurion then why pay for it? Unless the device has just been released the replacements will always be refurbs.
