I have a RAZR and Verizon offered this "service" to me when I got my DROID. They transfered over a whole whopping 39 of my 600+ phone numbers.
What a joke!
My friend who went from a BB to a DROID had the exact same experience. It may be worth a shot ... but I wouldn't hold my breath.
Thank goodness I had all my contacts in an Excel Spreadsheet.
Which leads me to my suggestion. Is there any way to get your contacts imported into an Excel spreadsheet, or at least a CSV file? The data port on the Nokia 7900 appears to be a Micro USB port just like the DROID's. I would do a Google search for data software that would support backing up your contacts. Or perhaps some surfing on Nokia forums would do you a lot of good. Once you have a CSV file, you just log into your GMail account and IMPORT. TADA! Done deal. Within a minute, all of those contacts will get sent to your DROID OTA.
RAZR Maxx ... Love it!
