Best way to clean lint out of the ear speaker?
Q-tip? Toothpick? Mini-vac? Garden hose?

Tape! Roll it around your finger inside out so it's double-sticky, stick the corner in there, and poof! you're clean as a whistle!

Just blow on it real hard. I usually blow it out once a day to prevent buildup, and I've had no problems.

No blowing, no sucking! (...like my wife. )
If you blow, you can blast debris under the screen. If you vacuum, you can suck in debris under the edge of the screen somewhere else- even on the opposite end of the phone.
-Just a theory, mind you, but as someone who does have dust under his screen, I do believe it can happen this way.
My 2 sense.

I'm guessing that causes the same problem that blowing on it does - pushing lint under the screen.

the tape trick worked like a charm, used a flathead screwdriver to get it down in there, looks brand new again

i use a can of compressed air to blow it out. i don't get any dust under the screen though. i blast it quite a few times too. but the thing is it still doesn't really get everything out. i can see still see some leftovers. i think i'll try that tape thing out.

The tape may begin to leave a sticky build up after a while.
I use the corner of one of my business cards. The mesh is tough enough to not be bothered by this.
FYI – The garden hose is more of a permanent solution. After one application, no need to worry about lint any more.

Let excessive ear wax build to the point where it seeps out and snatches the lint.
