Default Can I use any USB to charge my phone?

Do I have to use the USB that came with my phone, or can I use any micro USB cable to charge my DROID? I would assume I could but I don't wanna take any chances.

Any USB to micro USB cable will work for charging. Although, not all cables seem to work regarding data. I have some that will charge via the USB port, but I can get the data portion to work.

I use the same one I use for my blackberry, both for charging and data.

I bought another cable from MonoPrice.com.

It was less than $2 (shipping cost more than the cable!) and it works great.

I've heard of other people's cables not being able to transfer files, just charge, but the cable I bought does both and works great.

USB will charge your phone's battery ... data transfer is another thing ... not sure what the difference is ... my suggestion is that you carry the cable that came with your phone ... that WILL change your phone AND allow data transfer,
