On the marketplace its listed under rockon, except its 3 down from the rock on player which is listed as 3. I am rooted with sholes 2.03 and overclocked to 1000mghz, i have no problems running the player at all.

This is a really nice app! With the right motivation and ideas, it could really be the #1 music app!

With that said, is there a way I can save/load playlists? I have different songs for different times in the day. For example, I can a particular choice of music while working out or running or doing work. It would be really handy if it was possible to save/load playlists (like you can do in Winamp).

Nope not at this time. That seems to be a pretty highly requested feature. They aren't even really play lists at this time. You are creating a song queue (a play list that tosses off the previously played song as soon as it goes on to the next one). It would be nice if you could queue up songs and then save that queue at least and reload it when you want.

Does it actually shuffle unlike the stock one?
I hate the stock music player, whether on party shuffle or regular shuffle it will play a group of songs more then 4 times for me within the shuffle.
I have yet to hear half my playlist on shuffle and hate having to pick a song i want.

if you have playlists already loaded in, it should find them. I originally loaded my itunes playlists with sailing, and this version read them fine.

I'm impressed that I can have my music in track order now and not alphabetical order! And album art for the first time in years! YAYYYY

Maybe somebody already said this, but where's the repeat? I jam on the guitar with my droid, and i like to play the same song several times before going on.

I've got a single line to the left of the play button that seems like it does nothing. There is a double line to the right, and it toggles shuffle or straight-through play.

Sorry for being a noob, but this button does nothing. Does yours change when you push it? Any indication? Maybe I'm slow, but the songs aren't repeating lol.

Well guys and gals... I have enjoyed playing with the 3 player but its now been a few weeks and I haven't heard anything about any development or possibility of implementing any of these suggestions from the forum from the dev. Dont know if they are listening or not but until I hear that there are some developments in the works I'm gonna pull it off to save space since as it is now it doesn't seem to do anything that the stock player wont do. I do believe this app has great potential but am just wondering how much development work is being done or if this is even going to be available to the public vs exclusive player for one phone.

I will of course stay subscribed to the thread in hopes of updates.

Thank you for the work you have put in so far dev! You guys make android rock.

love the program but the dev really shot himself in the foot with the program name. i dont think any android phone can do a superscript search for "3" directly.

I am using a rocketfish Bluetooth headset and the controls work fine. Pause/play, forward, back and volume on the headset all control the "3" player.

I've had this installed for a couple of weeks and really like it. Even willing to pay for it when the dev upgrades.

I also have/had that problem. I did the same as you and after reinstalling it's working again, but after reading your post i'm not so sure it will continue to work. Im going to email the dev, hopefully he will fix this soon.

Well this is only a preview app, this will be the next version of rockon when the dev works out all the kinks and adds some missing features.

I have to speak up for the dev here - I had a small glitch while rotating through albums (if I stopped the cube from rotating before it was able to stop on its own, the album art and album title didn't match) and I emailed him with the issue. He replied very quickly and asked for more information and how to exactly repeat the problem (this was about a week and a half ago). Now today an update was released and that problem is solved. The play/shuffle/etc. icons have also been updated, which was another highly requested feature.

Very nice work and a very cool app indeed!

Actually as a behold 2 owner the last thing I want to see is anything with a cube interface lol

FYI, I emailed the dev and got this:

Hi Clint,

It's because it is not implemented yet, so dont worry ;P. I will implement it within the next couple of weeks.

Cheers,

I just want the damn thing to loop an album! It doesn't matter what I do, if I tell it to play one song it plays EVERY song on my phone. Am I missing something?

so 2 questions....

1. When I press anything on the Bluetooth controls, it starts the default player. Is their something I'm missing for that?

2. Is their a way to make it stop playback when it disconnects from Bluetooth?

at first i really liked the player. Its really flashy. But over time, i began to dislike it. It had several FC, confusing layout, and its just doesnt let me browse through large music collections fast enough.
maybe its been updated though, i took it off my phone a while back.
