proectors gone wild on ebay, best protectors leave no bubbles and dont peel off in pocket. i have tried many different ones and these are the best.
mine only has a protector on screen other than that it is naked, with a million dents and scratches in the metal around the screen. these things can take a beating!!!!!!!!!!!
"almost" naked Moto Droid... Screen protector and a Nite Ize horizontal belt-clip case. Naked kept leaving the back cover in my pocket due to the no-slip coating on it.
Got the case at Bass Pro. It has a great clip on it that doesn't allow it to come off the belt when pulling the phone out.

Mine is totally naked, no screen protecter or case. I had that privacy screen protecter and it made my screen respond weird after a while, like I hit something at the top and it would hi lite something at the bottom. So I keep it in my jean pocket, or my hoodie pocket. I try to moniter what it rides with, but sometimes it gets in there with change. No probs yet. I actually bumped it with the metal part of the seatbelt when I was trying to fasten it and it is still perfact no marks. Thank Goodness I hit it kinda hard lol.
I keep it in my left, front, pants, pocket with the glass facing in. I never set anything between the phone and my thigh. It has no holder, case, sleeve or screen protector. It has Bluetooth and WiFi on and no anti-virus. Heck, it's not even locked.

since Thanksgiving nothing but a screen protector. Left shirt pocket is it's home, but it's bed is a Moto nightstand charger. One fall onto blacktop, no probs. Come warm weather I'll probably look for a belt holster, but who knows how much (little) I'll use it. There might be some good cases / holsters out there now, there sure are lots of lousy ones!
Same here. I'm a painting contractor but I manage to keep it clean...most of the time The way I look at it, I'm keeping it till the wheels fall off and I bought it to use so I am!

Yep, mine has a very tiny nick in the finish (not the screen), but that was for being tossed in my gym bag with my pocketknife and car keys. I won't do that again.
I don't use a case or a screen protector. I hate the filmy, non-factory look of the screen protectors, and the cases aren't made for insertion into the docking station. I do carry around a small lint-free cloth and am trying to be diligent in wrapping it up in it while it's in my pocket, though mostly it's for wiping the screen free of the constant smudges.
you wrap it in lint free cloth before putting it in your pocket? why's that? i just want to do away with carrying my phone in a leather sleeve all the time but that sounds similar to what your doing by wrapping it ;\ hassle to get to the phone and put it away ;(
i read one post where someone said they make sure the keep the phone upright all the time in pocket (with the headphone jack facing up)... whats the reason for that? is that where the dust and stuff get under the screen? -- if it is then sena cases really messed up because its a fact that lint and tiny peices of dust are constantly found near the top of the phone where its exposed because of the felt interior. and they are supposed to be the high-class (and expensive as hell) leather sleeves made for the droid.. i asked them about this and they assured me that i wont find any dust under my screen.

It's exceedingly unlikely that dust will get under your clear screen. I had an issue with my Motorola Razr v3 with dust under the screen, and the response I got was that it was due to a defect in the manufacturing process and I could get it replaced. If I remember correctly, I was told that they are completely sealed in a dust-free environment, which means the only dust that will get under your screen is dust that was present in the phone during its manufacture.
I wrap it in a cloth because--apparently like everyone else--I'm a bit paranoid about trying to keep the phone in as good a condition as possible. Though by "wrap", I mean "tuck it around."
I've been using mine naked for about 3 months now. Usually just dump it in my left-back pocket. I did drop it about a month ago and it has a small "battle-scar" but overall, this thing is in great shape.
The more you worry about dinging or scratching it up, the more likely you are to do just that. This thing is just like my PIP Boy 3000. No need for silly protectors from myself (for the most part).
I have a Zagg invisible shield on the screen. It comes with liquid that activates the seal and there are no bubbles. have had one on every phone screen from samsung to LG etc. Great product. But back to naked droid, it does fine without a case. As a matter of fact, it dented the hell out of my macbook pro falling off of the bed onto the laptop. Not even a scratch on the the droid. Chalk one up for MOTO, apple loses again...

noticed some dust under my screen today in the upper left corner. not to bad now, but i hope it doesn't get worse.
Got my droid in late january, carry it in my right pocket all the time. Almost naked except for one of those zagg shields and its worked out great..almost. few weeks ago the plastic on the back wrinkled up so had to pull it off and just noticed my camera button is starting to lose its golden color and turning white.
Same as a few above, just a screen protector, phone stays in left pocket by itself. Had it since it hit my local Verizon Store near launch and no signs of scratches so far.
Screen shield, naked, like the rest...no problems to speak of, though I'm really getting annoyed at the phone sliding open in my pocket. It's been especially bad since I removed the plastic strip on the back of the slider...every couple dozen steps I reach into my pocket and the phone is 3/4 open. Wondering if adding a case of some kind might add some friction to reduce the spontaneous sliding...
I also had a slippery slider and I just put two pieces of tape on the back. one on each of the "tracks" that the slider rubs on. it was much tighter after that. you can even put an additional layer of tape. I used clear scotch tape. but recently I got rid of that and put one of those droid decals on the back that covers the length of the back. that works great also.
Mine has been nude since day one! well almost nude. I applied Skinomi screen protector to the screen and the rest of the phone as well. Its similar to the Zagg invisible shield but not as expensive. Keeps the entire phone protected from scratches and works great. No bubbles, no pealing off in pocket. Got my Droid on the release date and applied the protectors later that week and it still looks new. Rides in my pocket all the time.
