Default So i got Handcet. Now what do i do to stop droid's default msg program?
Absolutely love Handcet. But now I got both aps receiving txts. Can I shut down the stock one that came on my phone?

IIRC, you need to:

-go into the stock messaging app
-go to the screen with all of your threads on it
-press the menu button
-scroll down to the notifications settings and disable them

You basically just disable notifications from the stock SMS app. You cannot uninstall it. Well, without rooting, that is.

Which would break your ability to send/receive SMS lol. Just do the first part.

Deleting the stock Messaging app does NOT break SMS messaging, I tested it. SMS messaging works perfectly fine. MMS messages, on the hand, is another story.

The bottom line: Disable notifications in the stock app, then forget about it.

But. Now the touch screen don't work with the new app. Always somthing.
