Default battery life issue (or battery widget issue) all of the sudden

Background info:
- I'm running the "Battery Left" widget and I have it displaying "estimated percentage left", "system percentage", and "estimated time left until dead".

- I listen to A LOT of Slacker Radio.

My issues:

- I was previously getting about 19+ hours out of a fully charged battery. 2-3 days ago I started having issues with the widget (I think it may have started when I installed an update to the widget) so I recalibrated it to no avail. Then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Within a few hours it claimed that it was getting accurate readings (when I first installed the widget weeks ago, it took days to get accurate) and now says that I should be getting 9 hours out of a fully charged battery. I know that can't be right so I'll see how the widget adjusts itself over the next few days, but, any thoughts? (I know a lot of you guys use the same widget and know how it works...)

- Also, In the first two hours of my phone being unplugged this morning, it went from 100% to 70%. I did run Slacker for about an hour and a half of that time, but could it really drain the battery that much that quickly? And I noticed that when I close Slacker, if I go into phone settings, applications, running services - there's still a Slacker update thing running in there. Could that be draining the battery too, even if it's only checking for updates?

- I really don't run a lot of stuff on this phone. I keep wifi and gps turned off. I use bluetooth only a few hours each night. Minimal web browsing. Although, my POP email gets checked every 5 mins (but I just changed it to every 10) and I do use gchat and text a decent amount, but I'd say overall, it's "light" use (except for Slacker which could be a huge drain, right?)

Thoughts, guys?

Thanks!

I am getting the opposite reaction from the Home ++ and battery left updates. I was getting ~17 hours estimate average. Now after the home ++ update I am getting ~32 hours. I did a test and used it normally and as of 28 hour mark I was sitting at 18% (20% system). So that seems to be fairly accurate including no use during night but on standby not charging. I usually sit it in a Homemade lego dock with the 2.1 clock media screen running chagring.

for the love of pete, its "all of A sudden". A sudden. not THE sudden. sorry but that just really bugs me. :P

but anyway, i've always had about the same battery life, before on stock and after flashing to dif roms. BB v0.8 did nothing to change that. or any other roms for that matter. i also got rid of battery left cuz i was too OCD on that thing. kept checking it all the time.

Okay, so there's clearly a problem with the last update(s) to Battery Left. (There's a bunch of whiny comments on the developers website too.) I ditched it and went back to vizbattery for a while...At least until Battery Left gets its bugs worked out, so now I can get some sleep without checking the damn thing so obsessively all the time

I think I also have something going on here where I'm getting a few hours less out of my battery in the last couple days but I have no idea what it could be. 19 hours, 14 hours, whatever...Either way, I've gotta charge this thing twice a day anyway, so screw it.

Can anyone confirm if the dev fixed this thing up since that problematic update he made? I ditched Bettery Left and I'd like to go back to it when it gets worked out.

TIA.
