Smile Pandora Radio

I just installed the basic or free version of Pandora. Do they charge to listen to it?

There are two choices, free and pay. Not much diff between the two right now on Android, but on the PC version it means a few ads and a stop while it asks, "Are you still listening?" and you have to physically poke the yes button for it to continue. You use the same account on all devices. Last I heard, it was $6 a year for the pay version.

Check out I Heart Radio, too. It does pretty much the same thing, by creating custom channels, but it also pipes in radio stations from all over the US. I like the one in Hawaii that plays Hawaiian and Caribbean music.

I like both programs for different reasons.

You don't pay to listen but it does use your data unless you are on wifi. So, yes, in a round about way you do pay, but not for Pandora itself.

Edit: It's $36 a year for the no ad version, not $6.
