1. I just bought a Motorola i1 today on Nextel and I have unlimited messaging, 1500 minutes and no data. I went onto the Android Market to download Paper Toss but it gives me an error and says it was an unsuccessful download. I was using the wifi at my house to get on the internet and I can get on the web just the Market won't work. Anyone know what to do?

2. Is there a way to use ONLY wifi and not use 3G or anything since I don't have a data plan?

Hello my friend!

1) I also got an i1 from Nextel without the data plan, which is actually too expensive.
I tried the same thing as you, and got the same problem. The internet was working on the wifi, but the Market wouldn't, no matter how many times I tried.
This is due to the fact that in order to get into the Android Market, you'll need the Data Plan mentioned above. Yes, it's revolting, but it's true.

My advice is that you google for free apps and install them from the SD card, and transfer wallpaper and music through USB cable.


2) If you don't have the Data Plan (like me), you will only be able to use the wifi, there is no other way. I didn't really understand your question there.

that's interesting.. I have a data plan, but I put my phone in airplane mode then turned on the wireless and I can download apps off the market just fine..

I pulled the sim to see If I can get it to work but you cant use the phone w/o a sim
