Default Hebrew Fonts for the i1

I'm trying to install Hebrew fonts on my i1.
I found this script (to be run with GScript Lite) for a Galaxy phone:

----------------------------------
mount -o rw,remount -t yaffs2
/dev/block/mtdblock3
/system

cat/sdcard/Hebrew/DroidSans-Bold.ttf >
/system/fonts/DroidSans-Bold.ttf

cat/sdcard/Hebrew/DroidSansMono.ttf >
/system/fonts/DroidSansMono.ttf

cat/sdcard/Hebrew/DroidSans.ttf >
/system/fonts/DroidSans.ttf

cat/sdcard/Hebrew/DroidSerif-Bold.ttf >
/system/fonts/DroidSerif-Bold.ttf

cat/sdcard/Hebrew/DroidSerif-Regular.ttf >
/system/fonts/DroidSerif-Regular.ttf

reboot
----------------------------------

But the script does not seem to work.

Is there an alternative to install the hebrew fonts?
Should I change the script so it can be run on the i1???

Thanks you in advance

Hey,

I bought my phone via ebay and since i live in israel, i needed to install hebrew too.

after i unlocked the f$%#$ nextel sim-lock, i rooted the phone, and then used the following site to change the font to support hebrew:

How to Install and Add Hebrew, Arabic and Unsupported Language Fonts to Android Phone My Digital Life

btw:
to write in hebrew, d/l from the market both apps:
anysoftkeyboard
anysoftkeyboard - Hebrew

then, go to Setting, Locale & text and make sure that AnysoftKeyboard is marked.

now, when you are at a text box, make a long press on it, choose Input method and mark AnySoftKeyboard.

hope i helped.
