Android 2.3 compatibility with Motorola Droid 2 Global / Milestone 2 questions

Hi guys! just want to confirm does Android 2.3 is compatible with Milestone 2? or Can Milestone 2 upgrade it's current OS to Android 2.3? And is it stable? has anyone already tested this? Because I saw a review, it says "The company also advises you to buy the handset for its current software and features and not rely on future Android updates as they are not certain for all versions, models and regions" is that true?

With the specs milestone 2 has..it is definitely compatible to handle Gingerbread..It depends on Motorola's decision whether they want to roll out to its users across the globe...officialy there is no info from moto regarding gingerbread for milestone 2 and moto has this locked bootloader policy which doesn't allow to you to flash unofficial ROMs....yes moto asks you to buy the phone on its existing software and features...regarding upgrades they may or may not do it....depends on phone model,region etc..

It's been a little while since I prodded Moto customer services about this (and bug fixes). I may do that and see what happens.
