Default Bluetooth connection to TomTom causes my Milestone to keep rebooting

I have a rooted, unlocked Motorola Milestone 2 running Android 2.2.

Yesterday I bought a TomTom Go Live 1000 GPS, updated the software and connected it to my phone via bluetooth. The phone kept rebooting, and only stopped once I disabled the bluetooth. I retried, but to no avail.

I'd like to point out that I regularly conenct my phone via bluetooth to other devices: headsets (jabra wave and jawbone era), other GPS systems (a Garmin 1390) and my PC with no problem whatsoever.

I contacted TomTom and Motorola but I am afraid that they will just try to blame each other.

Has this happened to any of you? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
