I asked him if he's sure they just didn't use a spray to apply the film & his friend insists the screen protector was sprayed on.
Sounds a little strange to me but it's enough to peak my curiosity so I just wondered if anyone else has heard of anything like this.
Invisible shield is a water based screen protector that's available. I'm assuming that's what your friend got.
Just got this in a few minutes ago. Both the charging dock & extra battery charging slot work. The cord is similar to the stock charger to enable USB charging/direct connection with your computer.
A couple of notes:
1) The kickstand has to be extended to enable the ALARM CLOCK WIDGET,no biggie. The issue of having the cord in the way while in kickstand mode has been resolved w/this dock.
2)) Any protective covers/cases are going to have to be removed to fit on the dock.Again, not an issue with me or unexpected for that matter.*
3) The indicator light next to the extra battery charging pocket continously flickers w/o a battery installed in the pocket. I'm not alarmed by this, but,I sent an email to FOSMON asking if this was normal/SOP.I'll post the response as it arrives.
Overall,I'm very satisfied w/this Charging Dock as it has eliminated the cumbersome issue of the cord interference w/the kickstand.
At $16.99,I highly recommend this FOSMON charging dock, especially if you want to eliminate the clutter of having an alarm clock on your nightstand.
*Awaiting the arrival of the SEIDIO extended battery & extended (thicker) back cover. I'm 99% sure this will not fit into the charging dock. I may modify the dock to accommodate the larger cover, if possible. Otherwise, I'll just place the extended battery in the provided slot overnight & use the standard battery in the phone for overnight/alarm clock use.
Update:
The FOSMON CHARGER is operating normally after a weeks worth of use.
The flickering of the indicator light that is next to the spare battery charging slot is normal & is not a cause for alarm per FOSMON.It's all good by me,but, still a bit odd if you ask me.The charging dock is cool to the touch & works as promised,so,any safety concerns regarding the non-stop flickering of the indicating light have been alleviated.
If one opts for an extended battery,it will not fit into the phone charging slot, you'll have to either remove the battery &charge it in the spare battery slot provided.
I myself am going to alter the phone charging portion of this dock to accommodate the larger battery & cover.
Looks simple enough, should just have to shave off a bit of plastic(.2" or so),to accommodate the larger cover,& using the kickstand to hold the phone in place during charging.

I didn't mentioned it earlier in my reviews of the Anker charger, but at the same time I bought the battery and have been using that since.
Glad to report that it lasts as long as the oem one and keeps the charge as long unlike those ebay ones in the first review i did a few pages back.
Just a quick FYI,the PHOTON w/an extended battery *will* fit into the HD DOCK.It's a tight fit w/the TREXCELL 3500 EXTENDED BATTERY & cover that I'm using,but,w/the detachable adapter plate removed from the dock,it will fit.

Just wanted to report back regarding the Motorola charger/extra battery combo. It's PERFECT! Because of the ebay extended battery that didn't quite fit properly with the back cover, I ended up having to get another back cover from Motorola. Now, with the OEM battery, I don't have that problem anymore. Nontheless, I'm on my regular battery rotation like I was before with my EVO. The great part about swapping batteries every morning and night is it acts as a soft reset, so I never worry about having issues with performance.

Received a Seidio Surface case for my Photon yesterday! Got it from one of my secret santas that I participate in. After seeing the Seidio case on my brother in laws phone (forget what model of Droid) I really wanted one over an Otterbox. My previous phone was a Palm Pre and I had both the Seidio and Otterbox cases. Due to how the phone was designed it was tough to find a good case. I LOVE the Seidio case!! Just like the one for my Pre it feels great and not bulky at all.
I don't think the multimedia dock will be as useful as the Atrix laptop dock.
I love this MoPho so much, i purchased nearly ALL the accessories available from Sprint. As I am a contractor, I dumped my Evo4G for the MoPho because of the ability to connect a wireless keyboard and mouse (Bluetooth) to be able to create estimates and invoices on site for my customers. I bought the vehicle dock which is GREAT for driving and using the built in GPS as well as playing my MPS over my stereo. The only caveat is the limited number of cases/gels that will allow the phone to fit in the dock. I found a hard-case at BestBuy made by Rocket Fish for $25.00 that works although I had to modify the opening around the USB/HDMI ports to allow it to seat properly (after having removed the spacer.) Along with my other accessories, I have HDMI dock, and though not as portable as the Atrix dock, when connected to my 32in HDTV, Need For Speed and other games are MUCH more fun to play, although the HDMI cable is a bit cumbersome. However, being able to port everything to a large screen and use the MoPho as a PC is GREAT! Especially when working with documents and invoices as I do.
Just my two cents!!! No on to figure out how to remove a bunch of the bloatware!
Does anyone have a bluetooth headset that they actually like and goes well with the MoPho? I'm thinking of getting the Motorola H720.
I have been using the Moto Rokr S9-HD for about three years now (haven't sent it in for a battery change YET) and I LOVE them! Behind the ear design and thought they "look" substantial, they are VERY lightweight, last nearly all day on battery and are rugged. I hike, mountain bike and work with them (I am a general contractor, so they get ABUSED). The sound quality, whether listening to music or talking on the phone is exceptional, and at $90.00 the price is VERY reasonable for the quality in both build and audio. I am thinking of "upgrading" to the new S10-HD, currently $79.00 at BestBuy.

If you're a contractor and want to be able to create invoices for customers on the go, I definitely would recommend you check out the lapdock. When I first purchased, I thought it would just be a "novelty" or another toy for me, but it has served MORE uses for me than I originally anticipated.

This is true. And if you are one that roots their phone, then there is a way to upgrade the webtop with a true Ubuntu interface which really makes/takes the lapdock to its full potential.

Will the AIRAVE help the PHOTON with 3G/4G data, specifically hold a lock on an otherwise apparently decent 4G signal?
While a home,in a stationary spot, usually right next to a window,my 3G stays strong & connected,but,4G constantly requires a toggle to re-connect(or just turn on G-TALK,a tip I found somewhere here @ A/F).
I'm not even sure, actually, not sure at all,if an AIRAVE is only for phone signal only.If someone could post a general, but thorough explanation of what AIRAVE is & how it works,or,a link to a good 'PHOTON/AIRAVE FOR DUMMIES' type of summary,it'd be most appreciated.
THX!
Quite informative thread here on AF about the Airwave.
But what these doesn't mention there is that it does nothing for the 4G, its only for 3G if I am not mistaken. Plus the Airave (first generation by Samsung) only does voice, no data. As mentioned in this video. Now the Airave 2 by Airvana (Airave Access Point) does do voice and data. Still nothing for 4G though.
I was going to get one of these to boost my signal in the house (my set up is in the basement and the upper floors only get 2 bars. Out in the patio only 3 bars.) But since I love 4G and these devices only boost the 3G signal I decided not to get it. (Although I am referring to the first generation unit only)

I've had both generations of AirRave and just recently had my 1st gen airrave swapped for the 2nd gen airrave. I can confirm that the first gen airrave didn't help 3G data signal. The 2nd gen airrave does, without a doubt. As far as 4G is concerned, I don't have 4G signal at my house, so it was a moot point, but considering that Sprint has been gracious enough to provide me the airrave at no additional cost (due to signal going from strong to none so often), I'm not necessarily one to complain about that.
The airrave helps my 3g connectivity so much that, in certain parts of my house, I don't even bother using Wi-fi (due to the router signal being too weak to connect properly).

THX for the input TS & DA. I'd heard about the AIRAVE previously, but, last night had stumbled across an AIRAVE2 @ e-Bay under $100.
At this price,I may just give it a try.According to a map of SPRINT's towers, there are two within fairly close proximity of my area, virtually the same distance, actually.I'm guessing w/the amount of traffic being the same on both,my phone can't decide which tower to select & therefore constantly toggles on & off, even while stationary.
Even if the AIRAVE2 only picks up 3G,as long as it stays strong & locked on,I'd hope that I would have the same experience as Drexappeal has w/his,by simply manipulating the antenna to select one tower over another.

Yeah, the Airrave 2 blows the Airrave 1 away most definitely. I have the airrave 1 sitting around and Sprint told me I could do whatever I want with it (just like any phone I might have had in the past). Thing is, it only works when you link it to the account and have the additional airrave charge, so it's not even really worth selling.

I was about to post up that there's a Lexar 32gb micro SD Class 10 on Amazon's deal of the day for $39.99, but just saw the add on the side of the forums! I swooped one up already, even though I already have a 32gb.
Anybody have any experiences with a Class 10 card on the MoPho? Aside from transferring files, any other differences noticed?

Sounds good! Please post both links because I can't find either one of them. Thanks!
Yeah,I was looking for that as well, but, too late by the time I saw your post.
I guess I'll stick w/my 16GB-CLASS 10 from PNY for now.
While browsing AMAZON,& A/F,I came across a thread that stated the 64GB cards(by SANDISK) will work w/most phones, even if the phone isn't rated to accommodate that high GB of a card.I suspect the card will work, but only up to the rated capacity of the phone & not read the remaining GB.
If/when the prices drop,I may try one of these, provided the PHOTON can read all 64GB of data on the card.
Anyone pick up a 64GB Micro SD Card to try out on the PHOTON,or,any phone, for that matter?
Invisible shield is a water based screen protector that's available. I'm assuming that's what your friend got.
No, that's not right. Zagg's Invisible Shield is a thin film that slides on after you wet the surface. I've used it on lots of phones & GPSes and can say this with assurance.

Man, had I known, I would've stuck the URL in my post as well. Thought it would be too obvious to avoid because the banner took up the entire left side of the screen. Nontheless, I'll keep it in mind for next time I see a 32gb microSD deal.
FYI, for those that haven't shopped there before, Daily Deals, 1 Sale A Day , DailySteals® | Online Deals | Deals Site : DailySteals.com , and Woot® : One Day, One Deal? always have sales going on for 32gb microSD card. Just have to check it every day, so you won't miss out. And considering the info KOLIO posted regarding the 64gb microSD being released, I'd imagine there'll be a lot more sales going on. If the 64gb microSD can be recognized by phones, I'm definitely upgrading at some point...again...LOL.

I should clarify. Invisible shield requires a WET install, unless it's specifically a "dry install" version. I used to use Invisible shield as well, but not all Invisibile shields are made to be dry install. All invisible shields used to be wet install only.

You know I wish there was a app of some sort that would show all these deals at once or on demand. Its not easy trying to remember those sites nor is it easy bookmarking them when I have so many pcs, tablets, laptops, phones with different browsers. Slickdeals comes close, but still.

Yup. I have a Class 4 in my phone right now and transferred my Class 2 over to my tablet. Since I'll now have the Class 10 (likely going in my phone), I'm trying to decide what to do with my Class 2 (probably will go in one of the other products I won that takes microSD card).
Well, I'm not completely sure phones "can't" have 64gb microSD, but none of them have indicated compatibility. I do remember early on, when the 32gb microSD was released, there was speculation that it wouldn't work with older phones that supposedly could only recognize up to 16gb. I got my 32gb microSD, prior to getting my EVO, and tested it out on my TouchPro which did identify the total available memory...Thing is, I never tested out to see if it would cap off when reaching 16gb and hide files after that. Eventually, I'd love to have 64gb microSD on my phone.

Got my Class 10 microSD yesterday! Although I never would've said this before, I do have to say that I noticed a difference in speed for loading files, as well as transferring files.
I ran into a slight hiccup when I first got it and had transferred all the folders from my previous 32gb card (Not all the files copied correctly), once I got it working properly and there were no issues with the phone functionality, it's been great!

Motorola's New Multi-Device HD Dock and HD Station
Seems that Motorola is continuing to listen to customers demands for more accessories that work with numerous devices. First we have the Lapdock 100 and 500 and now they introduce the Multi-device HD Dock and HD Station, that can be used with the Droid 4, Atrix 2, Electrify, Wifi XYBoards tablets and our own Photon 4G.

Wish they did this earlier! That's awesome! Although, I'm wondering why it's limited to just those phones because the micro-HDMI and micro-USB inputs seem to be the same location and with that sliding port that pushes the phone into place, I wonder why other phones wouldn't work?
If Motorola continues to standardize the location of the micro-HDMI and micro-USB ports, that opens a ton of possibilities for accessories in the future (even non-Motorola manufactururers). Not that I would necessarily need to by non-Motorola accessories, but I love having options!
I've said it before, but happy to say it again, I think Motorola absolutely kills HTC as far as OEM accessories are concerned. In all the past few years owning HTC devices, I loved how the OEM HTC accessories looked, but functionality wasn't anywhere near as great as it was for the Photon accessories right off the bat! Lovin' the MoPho's continued support and hope that Motorola continues to expand its relationship with Sprint, even though it is obviously still heavily connected with Verizon.

Now if they incorporated that sliding mechanism hook up on future lapdocks, then it would be neat.
Although in reality, I would prefer a bigger keyboard (keys) with undercarriage/slide out touch pad. Or better yet use the phone as the touchpad if connected with the cable.
Sprint and Motorola have teamed up to bring us the Motorola Photon 4G, the carrier's first international handset with Android. It's a 4.3 inch powerhouse with its dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and more.
