Hahaha...I was thinking that I should maybe switch my EVO over to one of my secondary lines already and temporarily use an old slider phone I have until Sunday!...ROFLMAO.
There's an LG Optimus S that I have that I really won't need afterwards and Best Buy had a decent "trade-in" value for it.
Seeing as how a couple of you already did that, I may just follow suit.

Yea I returned my 3vo yesterday in anticipation of it and was gonna buy the photon tmw but I won one that was gonna be to me tmw morning but they will be shipping tmw so I will get it friday. Can't complain for a free phone. However what I can complain about is the 6 hours it took for me to fix the mess up on my account yesterday returning the upgraded 3vo the rep canceled my line and that was a fiasco to fix

Oh, you were one of the contest winners? Congrats!
That's nothing. I've been with Sprint for over 10 years and at the 5 year mark (pre-Dan Hesse), when I was doing an upgrade, they released my original phone number mistakenly and were never able to get it back because someone signed up the phone line for a Virgin Mobile account, prior to the Sprint reps being able to retrieve it! Why did I stay? Sprint compensated me fairly to make up for it.

Oh I made a large fuss the rep acted like he did nothing wrong, I know what he did I used to sell sprint I have sold vzw and I have friends that are corp the only way he could have done what he did was clicking cancel. He then tried to brush it off like I can fix it later. not happy
Well, I did it... My EVO's gone. Time to mash F5 after midnight until I can place my Photon order. Then the wait, oh, the waiting is the hardest part. I already feel like my right arm's been cut off. Did I actually used to compose messages and emails on this thing? Oh, the horror!

I still have mine. Don't have the heart to sell it

I'm probably going to use one of those back back /trade in programs that I reviews last year to turn in a few phones that I have laying around. So yeah the EVO will be going the way of the DoDo.
I just have to add the Sprint buyback program to the mix and see which one gives me the best deal. I bought two photons today and maybe with these buybacks I might end up offsetting the cost of today's purchase.
2 HTC Heros $38 x 2 = $76
2 HTC Touch Diamonds $8 x 2 = $16
3 HTC EVOs $125 x 2 = $250
Total $342 using Sprint buyback

You know, I was curious what the difference would be between the buy back program and the trade in and to my surprise, because of the 49 paid up front, the trade in option almost seems better for certain products. Because of the trade in program, I don't intend on paying for the buy back program on the photon.

This is true, but I've never used Craigs list and I don't ever recall selling anything on ebay, so my reputation/feedback on there is zero. (much like here) lol So I wouldn't do it on those two outlets.

Sprint and Motorola have teamed up to bring us the Motorola Photon 4G, the carrier's first international handset with Android. It's a 4.3 inch powerhouse with its dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and more.
