Yeah. Had to set that to allow my AppMonster to install backed up apps, which I thought was kind of odd.

thanks for posting that 411. I couldn't figure out any other solutions except downloading it from a computer and emailing it (or transferring w/ usb connection) to the phone.

Okay, all you're posting here is the path that the actual image exists on your phone. There are 2 ways you can post an image:

1) Host the image from an image hosting website (e.g. Picasa, Photobucket, Flickr, etc.) and copy/paste the image url (ending in jpg, gif, etc.) on your post.

or

2) When you click on New Reply (not Quick Reply), at the bottom you'll see a window that says "Additional Options". In that window, you'll see a button that says "Manage Attachments." Click on manage attachments, a window will pop up, click on choose file, find the file, select the image, click Upload image (in the window) and your image will be attached to your post.

Im also running Go SMS - been an handcent man since I got my first android, but I think Go's pop up is quicker and smoother than Handcent, plus the black theme looks sharp..

HDRBYRTG, how did you get rid of the home button on your app drawer? Do the icons go all the way to the bottom when you scroll?

Also, do you know how to get ADW to loop home screens?

its just the "4G Stats" toggle that takes you to the setting menu, i just changed the icon to make it flow.

i had the free version and just droped a buck on the icon pack..but ended up getting the donate verison because this app is fantasic.

The home button disappearance -

On you home screen hit the menu button soft key (first button on the row down there, looks like 4 squares, one filled solid - on the screen hit more.. adw settings.. ui settings.. drawer settings..

Here check the full screen check box (Hide the dock when opening the app drawer)

The apps drawer is then full screen, nothing but apps when you scroll, has a slight "bounce" when you hit the top or bottom, not sure how to extend the pixels on that - dont think you can.

Search for a program on these forums called screengrab. It's really easy to use, but I think you need to have a rooted phone.

Sounds like you already have screengrab or something similar - you have the pic on the cpu, so you need to upload that to a photo sharing site- like photobucket.com or whatever you like - then share the image link in the forum with the correct tags - which Im not sure what they are for this forum -

When you are typing a reply - look up on the control buttons for the reply window - they are bold, italics, underline....... all the way over to what looks like a mountain with a moon over it - click that icon, copy and paste the url for your image and you are done - just preivew the post before you post it to make sure that works.

Using Go Launcher EX, you can replace any icon in the dock with your own! It's pretty simple and I did it in photoshop!

Oh...sorry...completely missed the part where you said icon in your original post. Yeah, LPP allows you to use custom icons as well.

For Go Launcher, the icon size is 128x128 if I'm not mistaken. Knowing that, it'll be fun just to try out new stuff once in a while.

You can use any image file for an icon with Go Launcher. I've actually used wallpapers as application icons in the past.

I've done that with LPP and Go Launcher before, but I didn't like it much because the images were still to darn small...LOL. What I'd actually love to do is make a fully custom Icon with Text on top of the image, but haven't figured out how to do that yet. When I've tried to edit the current Icons I use, I lose the transparency.

Anybody know how exactly to edit pre-existing icon images that have transparent backgrounds?

I think you can take the apk and decompile it, go into drawable folder, edit it, and recompile the apk. I don't really know, but I think that's what they do with framework-res.apk's. Also, the PNG files will have transparent backgrounds. My app drawer icon was just a bunch of squares on a transparent background and was saved that way before implementing it here.
