Moto photon Q is.......flawless
Hi ive been working for sprint for sometime now and am one of the best sales asoc. In the nation. For this i was given a photon Q a week early to be an advocate on it. And let me tell you at first im thinking ok.....most phones with slide out keybords are rubbish but after a few days i changed my mind. Lightning fast impecabble camera amzaing display has won me over. I used the Photon 4g before this and i can say o how great it feels to knoe moto got it right! Unlike samsung and htc the display has a natural crisp color to it and nit at all saturated. The camera wow!! I took a pic of a piece of paper 25 ft away and in the pic i can zoom in and read the words perfectly. The words might i ad are no bigger than the words your seeing on this post. I am very happy with this phone. 4.0......eh its ok but its nice to see what a photon with 4.0 is like as the Q is damn near exactly like it.
Great to hear! I am going to see if I can check one out today just to see. I admit I am waiting on a good price based on what happened with the pricing on last years Photon, but I am excited to see what this is like in person next to the current Photon.
I personally love ICS and can't wait to have it on both Android devices.
I'm leaving in about an hour to get one of these for my wife. Her Samsung Moment is in sore need of replacement. ANYTHING would be an upgrade to that dinosaur. I'll post my thoughts when I get back.
I did look at one at my Sprint store side by side to my Photon. The screen is brighter and no more of the grid is visible that I can see.
One thing that irked me was that it seems like the sidetone is gone on the Q. I also dislike the inability to remove the Google Search box at the top of the home screens. So this knocks this down a notch for me from "have to have" to "thinking about it"

How do you feel the Q compares to the LTevo? I had the OG MoPho, and bought LTevo when it came out. I like the LTevo, but I miss the way my MoPho "worked". I use my phone for txt, email, browsing, phone calls and accessing my quickbooks app. I also use doubletwist for listening to music. I don't care for slider keyboards, but I also don't have to use it as a slider.

Its not comparable to the evo lte at all. Customers have been asking me this and truth is
That this year the line up is great as before all phones were pretty much the same just diff manufacturer. Now each device is suitable for its own type of customer
the lte is absolutely perfect if you listen to music and take a ton of pic and videos.
the gs3 is great if you intend to share a lot of media or watch movies.
now the photon q me personally the keyboard is wat is amazing its not like the usual cheap slide out keyboards it feels like it was made of quality products the camers is amazing as well. And this phone is great for texters and people who use there phone as a tablet as its way easier to feel in forms and info online. All three phones will give u great
Processing speeds my suggestion think about how u use ur phone and pick the phone that suits ur style

i think you are the only person who has ever claimed moto has a decent camera. my photons was wretched in dark areas with massive noise and just looked bland
from all the picture examples ive seen photon q doesn't look any better
I dont ask for much, but my friend is going through some rough times,
if you wish to donate to me send it his way, he needs it more than i do Donate here

The Google search bar is a "feature" of Ice Cream Sandwich. You can remove it the same way on any/all ICS devices.
Menu->Manage Apps->All... scroll down to "Google Search", Disable
Device(s): Moto Photon Q, Samsung Galaxy Tab w/CM9 ICS. Former Samsung Moment and Epic 4G owner.

It's a widget.
Go to your app menu, touch (or flip to) your widgets, and add "Google Search" back to your screen.
(if you've never done it before....)
You do this by touching/holding the widget in the menu. You'll then come to your main screens, where you can drop it where you want it.
This gives it to you on one screen, but not globally, as you probably had it originally.

The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE made a few rounds through the rumor mill before coming out of the closet. Now that we have an idea of what this device is like, we can say that it is not a bad option. This slide-out keyboard smartphone features a dual-... Read More
