CM7-reloaded is perfectly stable and has been for awhile now, the sd card should have no effect on the video what so ever cause the camcorder is a system apk so the only time at all the sd card may come into play is if it saves videos there, in which case if the video was to large it wouldnt be able to save it, it would say theres not enough space, but cm7 does have a known issue with certain video playbacks, you can try enabling the 180 degree view in cyanogen settings and watch it with the phone upside down see if that works
the reason your froyocream sandwich works probly better with the camera/camcorder is cause its based off froyo which is the phones stock system, so camera and camcorder probly respond better
