Is it not recognizing just some of the music? Then you may have a file type issue or a drm issue. What is the file type(s) that the phone doesn't play but the pc does? What are you playing them with on the pc side?

The stock Android music player will play .mp3, but not compressed .wav. You can convert them to mp3 (what I would do) with a tool like Audacity, or use something like waveplayer
