Writing?
Has anyone tried writing on it with a stylus? Like with evernote?

I am kind of hoping these android tablets in general can do hand writing of notes. I don't see why they would not be able to.

I could not find an option in ever note to use a stylus. Also I could not find a decent note taking app that would utilize my stylus. So I'm going to try and make one. We'll see how it pans out.

Note taking/drawing apps?
Are there any apps that will let you take notes with a stylus? I've found that there are capacatative touch styluses (stylii?), but I've never tried one- are they just not accurate enough? I'd love to be able to just use it as a notepad to jot down notes instead of having to type.

I have this.

There is a free one as well. Do not use it much, but it is cool.

I do not think multitouch is conducive to handwriting.

That's what I;m afraid of. I bought one of Amazon that had good reviews, figure I'll return it if it's not useful. I'll report back whether it's worth doing or not.

Try
DrawFree . Seems OK, it's new, basic. Honeycomb optimized though.
Edit: Sorry, I see now you wanted app that works with a stylus. This does not.

Yup got mine through prime too.
I also admit... that I got one with slightly less good reviews because it was hot pink to match the hot pink gel cover I ordered.

It does lag on the paid. I got for free as they are the creators of Autocad and Inventor which I use for my work on PC.

Got my stylus. The app isn't bad, but yeah, it is laggy enough to be kind of annoying, and you can't rest your hand on the screen, making it hard to take notes. Very cool for drawing though!
The stylus was cheap, and worth having I think, at least for drawing and things like that. There's a whiteboard app too- not scaled for tablet yet, but I saw a note saying they have a collaborate version, which seems pretty cool.
does seem a little strange to me that there's no real good note taking app. Back in the early PDA days (my dad's a tech geek too, I got his hand me downs, I had a Newton and early model Palms and such) it was one of the big features!

Note taking app?
I am looking for a note taking app that I can use a stylus with but can convert the notes I write into a text or word format. Can anyone help?

It is the same. Just ordered today. Both Android and Apple bring you to same spec page. Add them to cart, there is no difference.

So I looked in the general app forum, and someone suggested MaplePaint. I think it's my favorite so far- free, not laggy, and pretty accurate writing, even with just my finger. I suggest giving this one a try.

Great program, problem with capacitive is that you can't rest your hand on the screen.

Get some of those green felt sticky things for putting ash trays on your wood coffee table. Stick them to your palm.

I've been debating the capacitive stylus made by HTC:
HTC Capacitive Stylus (1 Pack) -TheCellGuru.com
Far different tip design though, so I'm not sure.

program for math class.
I am trying to find a program that i can use to work out problems in my calculus classes, and i seem to be having trouble. I picked up the tablet today so i could stop having to use so much paper for my class and maybe be able to save my work easier.
What i need is a whiteboard app that can either scroll or page... like i would be doing on paper. i have been through most of the apps on the market when i search whiteboard and notepaper doesn't seem to bring up any results. anyone have any ideas of things that could help?
even better would be a program that could translate the math i write into typed math. are there any handwriting recognition programs out there that would actually work for writing formulas?

For PDF you may want to look at repligo reader. It may be what you're looking for

That MaplePaint program works great for what i need it for. it is giving me a few issues, such as messing up save files when they have lots of work in them or multiple pages, but for something to use in class to show my teacher the work, it will be perfect. once i figure out the save issue, it will be even better for my homework. what happened to me is that all of my lines got jumbled up into the corner after i saved and reopened... not ideal for trying to save and come back later, but still has it's uses.
Thank you so much.
