Question Anyone Using Quick Office Successfully?

According to the Quick Office developer site, Quickoffice Quickoffice Connect Mobile Suite HD for Android
the tablet version is not ready yet.

Is anyone using it now on their Xoom?

I am using Quick Office Pro on my Xoom with no issues. If you just need a reader it is already built into the Xoom.

Good to know it works (I need to create and edit docs, so Premium version is necessary). Wonder what the tablet version will add if the stock already works on the Xoom.

I bought QuickOffice Pro for $7.99 in anticipation of a cheap upgrade to HD. Works fine.

Is there going to be an upgrade path or is the tablet edition a separate product line?

The viewer works fine. I had a key of Documents to Go, so I use that on my Xoom. Dataviz often has sales. I got my copy for $9.99. I've seen in cheaper and I've seen people pay more for it.

This just in from Marina, Customer Care Specialist:

"Thank you for your questions.
If you purchase Quickoffice current version I am afraid that you could not use all features since it's not compatible with Honeycomb devices. However the version for Honeycomb devices should be available very soon (in the beginning of April we suppose) and it should be a free upgrade for customers who purchased our previous releases of Quickoffice full version."

Confused Quick Office Pro- Some Works- Some Not- Question...

I bought Quick Office Pro while on the train into NYC this morning from my Xoom. I picked Xoom as the device and they happily took my order for a promo price of $7.99.
What I wanted most was to show PowerPoint slides for a meeting today- that worked great- go into Slideshow mode and a gesture flicks to the next slide. Cool.
Now I read this thread and I see some things do not work and they know that at QucikOffice......yet they took my Amex payment??
I verified that I too can not create a new Word Document or Word 2003-2007 document (you get the option of either when you chose Quickword)...neither one works.

I do see that you can connect Quick Office Pro to your Google Docs, Dropbox etc....that's cool I guess.

Hmmm....I guess I contact them.

Question at top of mind for me though is since I had to specify the hardware (Xoom) does that mean that unlike other apps one would buy in the Market, I would have to rebuy this to have it for my Droid X??

Send CS a question, and after they respond they will send you a survey. When completed they give you a discount code for 20% off. Or just try "survey20" and see if it works for you.

I bought the pro version expecting to be able to upgrade for free. As of right now it says I'm up to date and shows I have to pay for the HD version. still waiting to hear back from them about this. Anyone else have any luck getting to the HD version, when you bought the Pro version before the HD version came out?

If you paid with Paypal put in a dispute "not as described" and you will get your $7.99 back. I did.

Unhappy HD

Not sure who you were asking, but I did buy the HD version. See my previous post...I bought the Pro version for $7.99 but then had no apparent way to upgrade when the HD came out. Dev did not respond to support ticket or email, at least not yet, so I sucked it up and used the code above to purchase.

I think I might do what was said above and put in for a refund and buy the HD version. The reason I ask is earlier in this thread someone had a response from customer service saying you 'should be able to upgrade when HD came out.

For those that have not purchased it yet, it's currently $14.99 as an introductory price. That's 40% off the $24.99 pricetag they plan to list it at in the future.

Haven't had much opportunity to tinker with it, but I did mess around with the PowerPoint creation and its really quite nice. Definitely impressed so far.

I just bought the HD version, liking it much more than the pro. I also used the 'survey20' coupon code and it worked, making the purchase only 11.99. I have also put in for a reimbursement for the pro purchase.

Purchased the new HD version and after paying a box popped up with a bar scanner and said I would receive an email with download instructions. I couldn't scan it and have been waiting for an email and nothing. Anybody else with this problem?

Edit: Finally received download link but it took over an hour.

Did you download from the web? I haven't a clue where to input a coupon while using the Market. Probably too late now, but good to know for future reference.

To be honest, seemed like this app purchase skipped a step as compared to the process when on my phone. When I do it on my phone, it redirects me to a page where I have to approve the Price/Purchase details. For this Zoom app purchase, it didn't really seem any different than approving the dowbload of a free app, definitely no approval page.

I did it thru the web and quickoffice's website not the market. The link/downloading took seconds, I just want my money back for the original purchase.

I tried Quick Office for the Xoom and my Excel Spreadsheet I have has some cells with Black background and white letters and numbers. In Quick Office only one cell showed up correctly. I tried the same spreadsheet in Think Free and it displayed pefectly. Not sure what the issue is. Think Free just all together looked better as far as the colors and lay out. The only thing I don't like about Think Free is you have to click the menu button to look at other sheets in the same workbook.

Yeah, I got the email too, got the new quickoffice for honeycomb for 9.99. Not too bad. Pretty crazy though as I don't have the Xoom yet (damn amazon shipping my order 2nd day air when I paid one day shipping ::grumble:: )

Just bought it through the web site using hd30 code. $9.99 for a productivity app is worthwhile. google doc integration is the main reason I bought it.

Than you for posting the discount code.
