My box to mail it arrived on Monday. Sent it out the same day, and got it back today.
It does appear to be the same unit I sent out. I factory reset it prior to the upgrade. At first I thought it was a new unit because it had that plastic cover on it that said what the buttons and indicators are. But when I peeled that off, my Zagg screen protector was still on under it.
Now to root it :-)
I guess I hit the upgrade bottleneck. I shipped mine to them last Monday the 3rd. Although FedEx delivered it on the 4th to them, they didn't claim to receive it until the 5th. Online status showed "RMA Processed" on the 6th, and has "This device has shipped or is in the process of being shipped back to you. If no tracking information is available, please check back at a later time to allow our system time to update..." at the top of the status still. Called yesterday and all they would say is that I should receive it by the 12th. We'll see if they really ship it back today.
I'm curious if everyone shipped theirs to Elgin, IL, or if they have multiple upgrade locations. If they do have multiple locations, it would be interesting to see if certain ones are slower than others.
My upgrade status said received on the 4th, processed on the 5th and shipped. Just got a tracking number this morning that it will be shipped today overnighted for tomorrow.
No, I was copying the info off that site as I was typing that message. All the shipping info is still blank, and no email since the one saying they received it. Sounds like I'll be at least a day behind you. Maybe I'll get my shipping info tomorrow.
Has anybody called Verizon and asked for a credit on their bill for the time the Xoom was out of your hands for the upgrade? With the new delays, some folks are being without their device for over a week and it is certainly not fair to pay for 4 weeks of service when you only have the device for 3 weeks.

Mine also went to Elgin. Shipped on the same day you did but got mine back on the 6th. Something must have gotten pretty screwed up that they are now almost a week behind. I couldn't believe my experience went so smoothly as I was expecting a mess. Now I see the mess I expected. I love my xoom but Motorola and vz really screwed the customers by over promising on delivering 4g "in the second quarter" and now botching the upgrade
Well, they did update the shipping info yesterday afternoon, I got an email stating it had shipped in the middle of the night, and it showed up this morning about 10:20....
My upgrade was very fast. FedExed to Moto Friday got it back with 4g and 3.2.2 Tuesday morning.
Sent mine Friday and it came back today, plus it came with a standard dock (kinda cool) as a token of thanks for waiting for LTE. I noticed that the LTE/sim card cover now sits flush. Also the new market is installed on the Xoom (according to the sheet in the box). There was a system update when I finally got the Xoom booted (first boot out of the box was a long one!) After another long reboot I was greeted with. Android 3.2.2, build HLK75D, though I have no idea what build it was before (didn't look before pressing update). 4g is nice and fast! I will report on battery life a bit later.

I finally got mine back today and I should be happy, but I came home from lunch to find my $800 XOOM sitting on the porch. FedEx dropped it off without requireing a signature. It was leaning up against the outside of my door for everyone walking by to see. I am lucky that it was still there. This is how loyal customers are treated. Horrible service, just plain horrible!
I'm going to have to upgrade my phone, now that I know what 4G is like... I can't go back to 3G... I just can't!
My XOOM came in today dripping with 4G LTE goodness. I had sent it in last Friday. Since I intend to use the crap out of the 4G (up to 1 GB that is), I will not be able to truly test the battery life. I'll report back in a week or so once I've slowed down my use to more average use. I'm excited!
Got my Xoom back, but I cannot reinstall the online Market Store apps or maybe I'm not even supposed to, it keeps telling me that there is no device linked and I don't know how to fix this? Right now I no access to any apps. Any ideas?

Do a factory reset. You will have to enter your login credentials again but it should fix the problem.

I got mine yesterday. The speed's OK. Not quite the 50meg/second Sanjay boasted, but that's par for the course with people like him. It's a little faster than when connected to my wireless (G) router but at least I finally got everything I paid for and can forget about Motorola now.

I'm definitely seeing a decrease in battery performance but for me its not a problem. It gets me thru the day but when I put it away for the night I've been consistantly under 10%, where before the update I rarely dipoed under 40%.

I received my Xoom on Fri after sending it off to get the 4G upgrade. It came back looking like new. It was wrapped in plastic and had the factory screen protector on. Sure enough, I confirmed that the device is in fact a different one than the one I sent out. How can I tell? Well, At home, I had it setup with a static IP on my router. When I checked configuration of the Xoom, it had a different MAC address than the original one and MAC addresses are hardware specific. So indeed, this is a new or someone else's XOOM.
Yeah, unofficial times, but I have noticed that battery times from 3g to 4g have dropped from 10-11 hrs to 7-8 hrs during moderate usage. There is a larger stand by drain than before. I will check the battery stats the next time I spend the day using 4 g instead of Wi-Fi.

have we gotten the Honeycomb SDK coding for the xoom yet does anyone know?
Yes. This is what I was concerned about and I think I'm just going to stick with the 3G at this point....it works fine for what I do....I very rarely use the 3G (except when friggin Comcast Broadband is down and I have to use it as a hotspot!).
Device(s): Galaxy Nexus, thunderbolt, Droid X for work. moto XOOM

got mine back yesterday, sent it off on monday got it back thursday awesome speed. btw has anyone noticed the weird wallpaper cropping with 3.2.2 it is worse than it was before.
New xoom was previously opened on arrival (most likely due to LTE upgrade)
Haven't seen any topics about this but I just opened my FedEx box today - low and behold my Xoom box was open!
Immediate frustration b/c they delayed my shipment for over a week from the order, not because of the low inventory but because it fell out of the system. Long story short I get my Xoom in today and the box is already opened.
I call customer service and the woman tells me it's a new device. I can clearly see that it had usage as the screen (thankfully still having the protector on it) showed not only fingerprints but marks as though a stylus was used. Not going to go into the back and forth between her and I but in the end I ended up hoping in my car and going to my closest VZ corp store. The rep there tells me that happens b/c the software needed to be updated before being sent to me.
Ok, I feel a little better b/c I know there was a 4G fix that needed to be done. Has anyone else gotten what looked like a used Xoom when they ordered a new one?
TL;DR - Ordered a new Xoom and got a used one. Store rep told me it needed to be upgraded before being sent to me. Has anyone else experienced this?
FYI - for anyone on the fence about upgrading to 4G (like I was): I put in for the upgrade last Wednesday, received the mailer box the next day. I put off backing the Xoom up till the weekend, very sad to see my Xoom go away for possibly a week.
I mailed it off on Monday, they received it Tuesday, worked on it & shipped it Wednesday, & I received it, with dock, on Thursday- so while they say "expect to be without it for five business days", at least in my experience it was only four, and while they say docks are available while supplies last, at least as of right now supplies are lasting.
Now, where's my ICS?

I'm actually using my Kindle Fire more than my Xoom these days, that one reason I decided to go ahead and update it, may make it easier to sell if I decide to.
