Yup, ordered one of these on Saturday, should be shipping today.
I was tempted to get a Galaxy Tab 2 7", but when I saw the deal on buy.com I couldn't pass it up. Bigger screen, a lot more internal memory and a better graphics processor... I think I'll be very happy with my Xoom.
What is the difference? How do you know it is "Asian"? I ordered one from Amazon - GoPowerUp LLC - BuyBuy Online. What should I be looking for when it comes??
I've tried ordering from Amazon twice and both times got the Asian model. They have a sticker on the side stating "authorized for Singapore" and a Singapore Warranty card. Not only does Motorola not honor the Warranty but you will not get the U.S. updates like ICS.
I sent them both back and bought direct from Moto for only $40 more than the Grey market Amazon is peddling. Amazon will not do anything about these vendors no matter how many complaints, so Caveat Emptor!
Man, this thing is a steal now. I picked up a 32GB WiFi Xoom at dailysteals for $239! Daily Steals Today Last Call
The 4.04 update prompted just a few hours after I first turned it on. Immediately set up NOVA launcher and loving it! Snappy, with no lag (except on Netflix). I don't even see a reason to root, really.

Anyone know if you can use this as a WiFi only version?
