HC Update 3.2.1 (Builds HTK55D & HTK75D)

Hi, when I turned my Xoom on today I got notification of a susyem update, so I installed it. Can any one tell me what it was for? Now I checked under "About Tablet" and this is what it shows:

Android verison
3.2.1

Kernel version
2.6.36-g111d827 #1

Build number
HTK5dd

Did any one else get this update?

I checked Mot Site and there is no ref to an update.

Just checked and I don't have an update available for mine. Is yours 3G or WiFi only? Anyone else see an update today or info on what its for?

Saw something a couple weeks ago that the 3G Xooms were coming back from the 4G upgrade with an OS update. Maybe this is to bring the WiFi only Xooms up to the same version. I have a 3G and I'm still waiting to hear about getting the 4G upgrade.

seems to suggest its a maintenance release. Perhaps something dealing with Google TV.

After the update the Gallery program no longer plays videos with the .m4v or .mp4 file extension. Selecting the file just causes the screen to dim.

I got the update this morning (Wifi only Xoom), it said it was a maintenance and security update. I only used my Xoom for about 15 minutes after updating but I didn't notice any differences in usage.

Ras, this is a bug. seems its not been corrected in this update.

what you need to do if this happens again is to rotate the tablet to landscape or portrait (depending on which state the tab is in at the time) then rotate back. click the link and it should work then.

I just got the update this morning, and I got the same thing when I tried to play videos with gallery and quickpic. Looks like something broke.

Looks like chrome browser is now showing the google+ ribbon.

(stock, not rooted, wifi only)

Thanks, that does work, but for my tablet this update caused the bug. I never had to rotate the tablet before to get these videos to play from withing the Gallery program.

if you had the previous 3.2 update on your tablet, the bug was indeed there. this is a known issue to google and thousands of xoom users.

I had just noticed this bug a few weeks ago and i had the 3.2 update at the launch of it.. so it took me some time to see this "bug".

the bug does not always happen.. its random.. ive seen it on e-mail links, within a file manager app, etc.. so its just random..

in your case you had not had all the variables in place to cause said bug to appear..

nevertheless, it has always been there.. hiding... waiting..

its unfortunate it was not remedied in this release..

I turned in my xoom (wifi model) and was prompted to download the new 3.2.1 update. It seems to make the browser faster IMO. Hopefully ICS will be available to download on this bad boy :-)

Wifi Xoom, purchased on Wifi release date. Got the update.

It updated the Android Market. Maintenance. Read it on Android Headlines.

Let us know what app, and also email the developer. Many are very good at helping out.

Is anyone else experiencing crashes to google frameworks and bookmarks after this update? Also my market is not displaying all the apps on my xoom???

i see that app issue, but not the other things. the google browser is actually a BIT better in my experience.

How do you know if your XOOM is rooted or not?

checked system update an there is no update available for me. Is there anyway I can download the 3.2.1 or any other latest version and install it myself?

Im running 3.1 in my XOOM.

I do notice that the You-Tube? icon on one of my home screens is no longer there...
maybe the update had something to do with that??

I'm probably confusing my wording -- I mean the YouTube Widget.

I was able to re-install it, but it definitely went away with the update.
(and not that I actually use it, but just happened to notice it's disappearance from one of my secondary home pages).

I received an update in the US today - 3.2.4 - but I don't know what the update is supposed to have changed, there was no information sent to me about the update. Anyone got more info for me?

I got this update this morning too. 4G Xoom about a month old.

Swype still works fine.

Anyone know what it was for?

Update HLK75F only provided support for pay as you go LTE. It was a tiny update, only 7.8MB

SO I got the notice on my unit last night. I didnt install it until this morning, and after it installed, it will not boot past the Motorola Dual Core splash screen. I called Verizon Tech Support who couldn't help. Called Motorola Tech Support who couldnt help. It is in my dock right now and wont even charge. Motorola is sending me a box so that I can send it in for repair, but it still pisses me off!!

Anyone else have this problem?

After 3.2 upgrade I noticed the below changes -
When app is not designed for larger screens,I get a notification next to the time.
The notifications on bottom right hand corner are smaller than the earlier version.
Not getting the Honeycomb boot screen..instead there is a motorola boot screen..I wish they kept the Honeycomb launch screen.

Any other changes that you guys have noticed??
