i had it ice cream sandwich a couple weeks before i realized it had been updated! i noticed the different power on and then checked the version. it had been updated.

I've got don't notice any extra features. Would love the face recognition but it don't seem to have hit. What features is pics supposed to have

Question Updating the Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi (MZ604) to Android 4.0?
Is this possible without plugging the tablet into a PC and/or rooting it?

Currently installed version is 3.2 and tapping "System updates" displays "Your device is up to date."

It looks like the ICS update is being pushed out to other Xoom users, so it could just be a case of waiting for it to be pushed to you.

I understand that it is frustrating waiting while others get the update, but it is usually region/serial number related.

Hopefully it shouldn't be too long before you see it!!

ICS is and was only pushed to wifi XOOMs if you have a 3G/LTE XOOM the only option is to root and rom. Not sure what the hold up would be but you can probably find the update somewhere on the boards.

Motorola Xoom WiFi gets first official dibs on Android 4.0.4 -- Engadget

I have been very pleased with the updates on the Xoom.

Has anyone received 4.0.4 yet?

No update for me yet. Also, it doesn't look like anyone with a stock system is having any success flashing the update as a zip like we could with the ICS update.

Per XDA, you can force the update by deleting data for Google Framework Services. I just pulled it. Not noticing any differences so far.

Is the XOOM 3G/LTE still considered a GED? Didn't Google drop all CDMA devices? The wait for this 4.0 update is a bit ridiculous considering the XOOM was meant to be a GED.

My Xoom LTE won't take the update. I am fully stock but each time the update tries to download, it stops and goes back to the screen saying my system is up to date. However, I'm still on Honeycomb. Any suggestions for getting the OTA to run and complete would be appreciated.

Nope. Never messed with anything on my Xoom. Support claims that it may due to the fact that I'm not officially in the que yet. If it doesn't come through by the end of this week, there may be a problem.

Guess we'll see what happens.

ICS has already been released for the VZW 3G Xoom's. I've been rocking it on mine for at least 2 weeks now.

I am have 4.1 installed and I just noticed that if you hold the home button; a little menu pops up that sends you to Google Now. Is this new? Can I add more things to this menu? Why did it take me this long to notice this?
