i had it ice cream sandwich a couple weeks before i realized it had been updated! i noticed the different power on and then checked the version. it had been updated.
ICS is and was only pushed to wifi XOOMs if you have a 3G/LTE XOOM the only option is to root and rom. Not sure what the hold up would be but you can probably find the update somewhere on the boards.
No update for me yet. Also, it doesn't look like anyone with a stock system is having any success flashing the update as a zip like we could with the ICS update.
My WiFi Xoom is still on HC 3.2 but the US WiFi versions have begun to receive the official ICS via OTA a few days ago. According to Motorola the update will rollout to European versions within the coming weeks - no question of it imho. However, Motorola have not been exactly quick of the mark when it comes to looking after their European customers; they seem to favour their American bretherens. So, when we will really get ICS is anyones guess. Good tablet though!
The US Xoom is classed as a Google Experience Device (GED), whilst the European model is not.
The GED device gets its Android updates direct from Google, whilst the European device gets its Android updates from Motorola after they've modified it.
Is the XOOM 3G/LTE still considered a GED? Didn't Google drop all CDMA devices? The wait for this 4.0 update is a bit ridiculous considering the XOOM was meant to be a GED.
I'm in MN and haven't received the update yet. I bought my Xoom refurbished through Best Buy - it's the Verizon branded wifi model. My son's girlfriend bought the same thing about a month before I did, hers came with ICS already on it but no update for me yet.....

My Xoom LTE won't take the update. I am fully stock but each time the update tries to download, it stops and goes back to the screen saying my system is up to date. However, I'm still on Honeycomb. Any suggestions for getting the OTA to run and complete would be appreciated.

Nope. Never messed with anything on my Xoom. Support claims that it may due to the fact that I'm not officially in the que yet. If it doesn't come through by the end of this week, there may be a problem.
I am have 4.1 installed and I just noticed that if you hold the home button; a little menu pops up that sends you to Google Now. Is this new? Can I add more things to this menu? Why did it take me this long to notice this?
