I just switched from a NokiaE71 to the GalaxyS and I miss the blackberry style a lot so I'm thinking of going back to Symbian with a NokiaE6.

While comparing the phone specs here:

I noticed regards battery life that the XPRT has only half as much standby time as a i9000 even though the battery has 24% more mAh capacity and a smaller screen as well.

I guess this could be due to 2 possibilities:

1) It's a Li-Ion battery, not Polymer.
2) The software could be better.

If it's due to (1) then perhaps a Mugen battery could improve that. If it's (2) then perhaps alternative firmware or some tweaking might help. Possibly Cyanogenmod. I don't know if quality replacement batteries are available for the XPRT or CM7 is available for it. I'll have to look that up.

Any ideas why the phone needs such a big battery? Do you think it's hardware?

I don't down a XPRT right now thought so could you just do me a favour and peel the back off and read if the battery is indeed Li-Ion? Also, can you see the screen in bright sunlight like Nokia phones or is it impossible like the Galaxy Note?
